Story
Comet is a beautiful young, big hound boy at about 60lbs and 1 yr old who loves to enjoy the outdoors and cuddles on the couch. In his foster home, he loves to pal around with his humans whether it be outside of the house out doing chores like cutting wood and wandering the woods or just cleaning up inside the house. When he is done with "his chores", he loves to cuddle on the couch and/or lay in bed with his dog foster siblings and his foster parents. When we pulled Comet from the shelter, he spent a month in boarding where he was temporarily kenneled with another dog and did okay in the kennel; however, since being in a foster home, we have learned that Comet is a little claustrophobic and does not like small enclosed spaces which includes a crate. Comet got hurt escaping a crate at his foster home, but luckily is all healed without permanent damage. Due to his dislike of crates, we are looking for a home where his people are home often and he can have free run of the home. So far when left alone uncrated, Comet has not shown any destructive behaviors. We believe he just lounges around with his foster dog siblings. Comet has not lived with small children, but is a calmer big boy, so we believe he would do well with older children for sure and possibly young respectful ones. He is more of a chill boy despite his young age, so we believe he might just prefer a quiet home where he can lounge and enjoy a more retirement style life....even though he is definitely not retirement age lol. Comet is now fully vetted and located in Middle Tennessee, but can be transported for the right family.
