Max is 4 years old. He is a Rhodesian ridgeback mix who has high energy and loves to go running. He loves to explore off leash when hiking. He does learn new things if you train him, such as shaking paws or catching snacks. He is actually a great watch/alert dog. All bark no bite. Strangers are scared of him when they see him barking but he has never harmed anyone if you are looking for that type of security. He is sweet and needs someone that can give him more time and energy (something we ended up not having eventually). He just wants to play and needs someone that can give him at attention.

Lemon belonged to a coworker who dumped her after adopting her as a puppy and having her for 4 years… he dumped her at the shelter where she stopped eating.. drinking.. urinating and walking.. she wouldn’t even interact with volunteers.. Lemon was said to have been going after the families female dog only after being starved for 6 days by a neighbor who was supposed to be watching her and the families 3 other dogs… Lemon was so severely shut down she was scheduled for euthanasia so I went and picked her up. The rescue who had originally backed her abandon her with me claiming they had no money.. Lemon was severely ill when I got her and required almost 1k In medical care I provided out of pocket. I am currently fundraising for lemon to receive training for her fear and inability to trust people.. she is so loving when she knows you.. quiet.. silly.. potty trained.. leash trained and crated trained.. she needs an experienced home with no animals or small children.

After spending time surviving on his own, he is now safe and beginning his journey toward the loving forever home he deserves. Despite everything he has been through, Cashew has already shown us that he is full of potential, personality, and plenty of love to give.Cashew is currently settling in and learning what it means to feel safe, cared for, and part of a family. He is looking for a patient adopter or foster who can give him the time and space to continue blossoming into the amazing dog we know he can be.At this time, Cashew has not yet been fully vetted or temperament tested with other pets, but he will be receiving his vaccinations, veterinary care, and pet introductions in time as we continue to learn more about him. Because of this, we recommend a home that can provide a safe, controlled environment while he completes this next step of his journey.Also should be noted his breeds are a guess.
