He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Meet Ruby! Ruby is a sweet, playful, affectionate, active, and a high jumping dog! She is 1 year old (bday is 12/24/24). We got her almost a year ago from our local animal shelter. The reason we are needing to re-home Ruby is because she needs a taller fence (standard fence height is not tall enough- she needs a 5 foot fence) as she has been jumping out of our fence. She always comes back, but it has gotten us into some trouble with the neighbors. Sadly we have had to keep Ruby tied up in the backyard to keep her from escaping. Ruby is very friendly and submissive and has never shown any aggression. She gets a long great with our kids ages 4 up to 14. She has taken on a submissive role to our other dog that we got first, and I believe she could do this with other dogs as well. Even though she is sweet and gets along with everybody, she is high energy. She does jump on people, and she needs someone to play with her and/or walk her. Ruby sleeps in her crate at night and is housetrained.

Honey got her name because she is so sweet and because of her color. She is around a year and a half old and weighs about 45 pounds. Honey likes belly rubs, car rides, to be brushed, and to lie beside her people. Sometimes she can be goofy and other times acts like a princess prancing when she walks. Honey is house trained, crate trained and knows some commands. She is a great family companion getting along well with several small dogs in her foster home and with her humans.
