Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. Sybil (aka Sibbi) is an absolute doll of a dog. I love her dearly and it breaks my heart to do so, but unfortunately am unable to take care of her anymore. She is friendly with people, given time to warm up. No problems with kids or other dogs and loves to go to the dog park. The only instances where she has been around cats, she was curious but not aggressive. She is a very timid girl, but once acquainted would love nothing more than to cuddle up with you on the sofa and give you all of the kisses you could possibly ever want. She is house broken and doesn’t chew, minus the occasional Christmas ornament but to be fair, they look like little animals. My only stipulation is that she goes to people that will cherish her. I would be more than happy to set up a time to meet her and get acquainted

Mabel (CEO of Attitude, Head of Household) 💅🐾 Mabel is 4 years old and has been with us since August 2023, when we rescued her from the urgent list at the shelter. She is a strong, dominant woman who does not take crap from anyone — including her husband Larry or his best bud Teddy. Equal-opportunity accountability. Mabel is also very quick to talk smack to other dogs as they walk by. Loud opinions. Zero hesitation. She is full of herself, and honestly? She’s earned it. She’s a gorgeous girl and she knows exactly what she brings to the table. Larry and Mabel are a bonded pair, no negotiations. They met in boarding after being rescued a few months apart, and somehow it was fate. He’s the Ricky to her Lucy. She’s prim, proper, and runs a tight ship. He’s the “I’ll chew your ear off while we walk through Home Depot because I love you so much” kind of guy. Together, they are perfection. They both adore people and will greet you with enthusiastic teeth kisses. Larry is also exceptionally skilled at turning himself into a bowling ball and knocking down the pins — and yes, the pin is you. You’ve been warned. 🥴 Mabel and Larry cannot go to a home with other animals, but trust us when we say this: the two of them are more than enough. Meet Bronco! Bronco is an amazing pup, estimated to be between 1–2 years old, and he’s still very much in that playful puppy phase. Curious about everything, he loves exploring the world around him and discovering new sights, smells, and adventures. Bronco gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently has three foster siblings he enjoys playing and lounging with throughout the day. He is also potty trained, and he is currently working on becoming fully kennel trained. This sweet boy is quite the talker—Bronco loves to express himself with silly grumbles, playful barks, and funny little sounds, especially when he’s excited or vying for attention. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he can be a bit skittish at first and sometimes thinks he’s in trouble when you approach, he is quickly learning that people can be kind and gentle. Each day, he grows more confident, more trusting, and more affectionate. In the evenings, Bronco enjoys curling up on a cozy dog bed, and he’ll occasionally trot over to give you a soft “boop” as his sweet way of asking for pets. He also has great protective instincts—if he hears a strange noise outside, he’ll be the first to investigate and alert his people. Howie has already mastered “sit,” loves to play fetch, and after his puppy zoomies fade, he’s a surprisingly chill and easygoing boy. He’s fearless around horses, unfazed by loud noises, and enjoys weekly “training missions” at doggy daycare where he learns from the best and plays with his fellow recruits. Howie is non-aggressive and even respectful toward cats, though he’s still learning they don’t always want to play. He’s working on potty training, crate training, and basic manners — all part of his journey to becoming a well-trained gentleman. Meet Snow White, the fairest of them all and not just because she is cute enough to win over seven dwarfs (or in her case six siblings). This almost 13 week old 20 pound heart stealer was born to our sweet mama Nala, a beautiful Basenji mix, right in the VIP suite at our local animal control (okay fine it was a kennel but she made it work). Dad’s identity is a mystery, possibly a dashing stranger or maybe even a traveling salesman, so Snow White is rocking the “designer mix” vibe. She has been raised with her brothers and sisters so she has top notch puppy play skills and she is ready to bring joy, snuggles, and a sprinkle of fairy tale magic to her forever home.
