🐾 Meet Larry & Mabel — two of our longest residents, waiting far too long for the home they deserve. Larry has been in rescue since November 2023, and Mabel since August 2023. Both were pulled from the urgent list at the shelter, narrowly escaping a fate no dog should face. They didn’t know each other then, but once they met in boarding, they became inseparable — best friends who found comfort in one another while the months kept passing by. 💔 Sadly, they have now spent almost two years in boarding, still waiting for someone to give them the chance at a real home. ✨ Larry is a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd/Plott Hound mix. He’s incredibly sweet, laid back, and loves people and kids. He can be a little picky about his dog friends, but his bond with Mabel shows the depth of his heart. He’s always ready for an adventure — hiking, exploring, or just being by your side. ✨ Mabel is a 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She’s not only beautiful but also full of energy. She loves the water — especially splashing in a pool — and thrives with activity and play. Once she’s gotten her zoomies out, she’s more than happy to relax and soak up love. Both Larry and Mabel are fully vetted, house trained, crate trained, and kid friendly 🏡. Due to their prey drive, they need a home with no cats or small animals. Mabel can be dominant with other dogs, so she pairs best with submissive companions — though truly, her heart belongs to Larry. 💕 These two are more than just dogs in rescue — they are survivors, loyal friends, and family waiting to happen. They’ve already lost so much time behind kennel doors. What they need now is someone who will see how special their bond is and give them the life they deserve: room to run, adventures to burn their energy, and love to finally call their own. 🌟 If you can’t adopt, even a foster home — temporary or long term — would be a gift to Larry & Mabel after all this time. Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. Story
Sybil (aka Sibbi) is an absolute doll of a dog. I love her dearly and it breaks my heart to do so, but unfortunately am unable to take care of her anymore. She is friendly with people, given time to warm up. No problems with kids or other dogs and loves to go to the dog park. The only instances where she has been around cats, she was curious but not aggressive. She is a very timid girl, but once acquainted would love nothing more than to cuddle up with you on the sofa and give you all of the kisses you could possibly ever want. She is house broken and doesn’t chew, minus the occasional Christmas ornament but to be fair, they look like little animals. My only stipulation is that she goes to people that will cherish her. I would be more than happy to set up a time to meet her and get acquainted

✨🐾 Meet Serge 🐾✨ Serge is a 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix 🐕 who has been in rescue since August 2024. He came to us as an owner surrender, as his previous family adored him but unfortunately couldn’t handle his strength—Serge was just too much of a guy for them. 💔 Despite that, he’s a wonderful, affectionate, and friendly boy who loves attention and cuddles. 💖 This handsome little guy is on the smaller side—knee-high and weighs 54 lbs ⚖️—but don’t let his size fool you. Serge has loads of energy ⚡ and absolutely loves to run and play, so he would thrive with an active family 🏃‍♂️🏞️ who can keep up with him. He is also a fence-jumping champion 🏰, so he will need a tall, secure fence in his forever home. Serge is dog-friendly 🐕🐕 and kid-friendly 👦👧 with older children who can handle his excitement (he can accidentally knock over little ones when he’s overjoyed!). As a stray, his past is a mystery, but what we do know is that he has a heart full of love to give. 💛 He’s a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard mix who is fully vetted and weighs 56 lbs. Yeti is a little careful when meeting other dogs—he likes to take his time, observe, and make sure everyone is friendly. With patience, he made a special friend in Missy, who seems to have officially declared him her boyfriend, and he happily accepted the title. 🐶💖 We haven’t cat-tested him yet, but that can be arranged upon request. Yeti is leash-trained, loves spending time with people, and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy long walks and run freely in a fenced yard. Nathan is fully vetted and weighs 69 lbs. He's kid friendly 👦👧, but when it comes to other dogs… let’s just say he has very particular tastes 🐕😏. Some pups are instant friends, others… not so much—so a meet & greet is a must! And cats? He’s still figuring out if he’s a “feline fan” 🐱🤔. This energetic, happy boy LOVES to run, play ball, and be the best sidekick ever 🎾🏃‍♂️. He’s always ready for adventure, a game of fetch, or just chilling with his favorite humans.
