Story
Maple is a 5-year-old, 95-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback with a very sweet and gentle personality. She is a loving, calm submissive dog. She enjoys being around people, takes treats nicely, knows “sit,” and loves the water (especially the pool!). She is an easy going dog who enjoys companionship and tends to look to the other dog in the house for guidance.  Maple is a friendly, great with kids, and affectionate. She responds well to calm direction and correction. She doesn't respond so well to raised voices, as she thinks it is a game instead of a correction.  She can be curious and a little mischievous, including counter surfing for interesting items like leashes, bags, food, or other tempting objects. However, she responds very well to calm “No” and “Leave it” when redirected. Maple would do best with an adopter who can provide structure, supervision, and continued training to keep her out of trouble. Maple experiences some urinary incontinence, which started after she was spayed. This occurs in about 20% of female dogs. She is on medication that controls it most of the time. She may have occasional accidents during moments of high excitement or emotion. Maple was crated trained, however hasn’t used one in a while. She prefers the bed or couch. Overall, Maple is a big, sweet-heart dog looking for a patient home that will appreciate her gentle nature and help her continue building good habits. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate Ridgeback with a playful and loving personality. Maple is a cross-post. Information was provided by the owner and verified with vet records.  ##2777829##

Story
Meet Trace, an energetic, loving, three-legged bundle of joy who never got the memo that he’s missing a limb! Super fast and equipped with an impressive vertical jump, Trace is full of life and always ready for fun in the yard. He likes playing fetch, even if his version sometimes includes you coming to him to retrieve the ball/stick.Trace thrives on routine and will do best in a home with a steady daily rhythm where he can get the love and engagement he deserves. He is fantastic with children, loves being an active part of the household, and has lived peacefully with a cat (though he does like to respectfully inspect what she's up to). Because of recent changes in our work schedules, we aren’t able to give him the dedicated time and activity he truly blossoms under. Trace is ready to be your most loyal adventure buddy and affectionate best friend.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Trudy is 9 years old, and she'd like a word with whoever decided that means slowing down. She'll check the whole yard before she checks you — over the rocks, into the leaves, all business — and she'll circle back on her own schedule. Sit down and give her a few minutes and she comes in, and then she's in your lap and won't get out of it. That's the deal with her: she decides, and once she's decided, she's yours. At a sleek 50-ish pounds, Trudy co-exists peacefully with dogs and cats. What she wants is someone unhurried, a quick potty and security check yard, then a couch buddy to unwind with at the end of her day. Meet Trudy → doggieharmony.org Age: 9 Weight: ~50 Temperament: Gets along with people, dogs, and cats Training: Housetrained and crate-trained; professional couch potato Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; though some of our urgent or long-term dogs (like Trudy) have discounted fees.September 7, 2026, 8:36 pm
