The decision to re-home our Honey is a very difficult one, I have to do what is best for her, my family, and I. This decision is based on my being overwhelmed. I have experienced personal health issues and situations with family needing my attention. I also care for my grandchild most of the week. Honey deserves better. She will surely thrive. She has a great temperament. Very calm and sweet. She loves to go on hikes and camping. Story
Meet Penny! She is a very sweet dog who loves to run and play with her dog friends! She also loves dog toys and will even play ball by herself. She takes a bit to warm up to people. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She just prefers dogs over people. She will need to be in a home with a pack of dogs so she can live her best life! She does well with kids, cats, chickens, and (of course) dogs. She doesn't chase cats or chickens. She is house trained and doesn't chew things up. When first meeting people, she is a little skittish. It is important to let her set the pace. She will need someone with patience who understands that she is more of a pack dog than a people dog.November 4, 2024, 3:23 pm

Story
We are not 100% sure on the exact age. We got the dog from a friend when it was maybe 1–2 years old, and we have now had the dog for 5 years, so we estimate the age to be around 6–7 years old. My wife and I both work full-time now and unfortunately do not have the time the dog deserves for attention, exercise, and care. This has been a very difficult decision for us, but we want to find a loving home where the dog can receive the time and companionship it needs. Millie is mostly an outdoor dog, great with kids, and has a very playful personality. Very smart and very high energy — loves to run and needs space to do so. She does well with some dogs but not all, so a proper introduction would be important. We are looking for a responsible family or individual who can provide a stable, caring environment and give him/her the time and activity he/she thrives on. Please reach out if you are interested or would like more details. We want to make sure this is the right fit.

Story
"Courtesy Post" This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting a family with placing their pet.  "MEET RIVER" He was born at Clayton County Humane Society to mom Kelly who is also still up for adoption. River has been completely vetted which includes microchipping, neutering, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heartworm tested, heartworm and flea prevention and completed deworming. River was a live birth to mom Kelly on 02/06/2022 along with 7 siblings. River and his brother Jasper that is also still available for adoption had the chance at a forever home as puppies but were unfortunately returned after 6 months as a lifestyle change occurred and they could no longer care for River and Jasper. With River and Jasper size they are usually overlooked due to medium to larger size dogs being picked last for adoption. 3 years have went by already with living in shelter life. They do get the opportunity to go on routine scenic dog walks and adventures and have outside free time. River would do well as a only dog as he can be quiet timid and shy but is very friendly to people. He can bark at children as he is just timid and needs some quality time to develop and blossom outside of chaos that can arise from shelter living. He is very active and would make a great companion to someone who loves to spend a lot of time outdoors. If you have a big back yard for him to run he would greatly enjoy that too!! River and Jasper deserve a true chance at a forever home and someone who has patience in understanding that decompression and a trusting bond is viable for them to open up and show all of their personality. They love treat time and always welcome us with a wagging tail and great disposition. I encourage quality one on one time to be spent so that you can see all the potential that they have!! Let's give River and Jasper a FOREVER home ! River is in good health and ready to be adopted into his forever loving home Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $250 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.     This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. If more information is needed regarding the pet email info@streetpaws.org. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.  December 30, 2025, 6:56 pm

Story
Terry here, reporting for duty! I'm a friendly, happy young guy with fun, bouncy puppy energy and a big love for life. I adore people, get along great with other dogs, I've made cat friends, and and I'm always up for an adventure. Jogging, hiking, playing fetch- you name it, I'm in! I'm active and curious, but once I've had my exercise, I turn into the ultimate cuddle bug. Bonus points: I'm potty trained and ready to settle right into home life! I have glowing reviews from my time in a foster home. I've also had professional training where I've mastered sit, down, come, stay, place, and more. My trainer offers 1-2 free sessions once I'm adopted too! Adopting Terry means more laughs, more adventures, and one very grateful dog by your side. He is almost one year old, around 60lbs, and is ready to start the best chapter of his life with someone who wants a loyal sidekick and a whole lot of love!

Story
Koda is a 6-year-old, 48-lb Catahoula mix with a sweet soul and an energetic spirit. He’s a fun-loving guy who lives for playtime, especially tug-of-war with his favorite humans and a good game of fetch. He also enjoys racing around the yard with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to keep him company (he’s more of a chase-and-run kind of player than a wrestler so far). Koda is affectionate and bonds closely with his people, which means he doesn’t love being left alone for long periods. He’ll thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, and ideally with another dog to help keep him feeling secure. He can be a little anxious at first, but once he settles in and feels safe, his loving personality really shines. This agile, athletic boy enjoys going on walks, is very food-motivated (treats are the way to his heart!), and already knows sit and listens pretty well. With his intelligence and eagerness, he’d do great continuing to build on his training. Important note: Koda requires a securely fenced yard taller than 4 feet -- he needs a safe space to run, play, and burn off his energy. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and sweet companion who will keep you active and love you wholeheartedly, Koda might just be your perfect match. To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $250, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing.
