Story
Rex came as a rescue from South Carolina, he is currently 8 years old but you wouldn’t know it as he still acts just like a puppy. He enjoys being free and trying to get fed as much as possible by my little ones. The home I am looking for is a home where he can roam free and sunbathe in the warmest part of your house. He is a friendly dog that loves attention, he does very well with children of all ages and people.

Story
Junie is a 6-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, about 60 pounds. We adopted her in December after she was rescued and rehabilitated in the South following a car accident. Her owner was never located, and she came north for adoption. Junie is a sweet, affectionate, loyal dog who loves being with her people. She is especially gentle and loving with children and babies and enjoys being part of family activities. She has a calm side at home, loves attention, and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. She has access to a fenced yard through a dog door and enjoys spending time outdoors. Unfortunately, Junie has developed aggression toward our small resident dog and has shown some reactivity toward other dogs while on walks. We are working with a trainer who believes resource guarding may be contributing to the behavior. We believe Junie would be happiest and most successful as the only pet in a home with experienced dog owners who can continue to provide love and training.

Abby was found along with her sister abandoned in an apartment complex in SW Houston. She is approx. 2 1/2 yrs old and weighs around 65lbs. She is a little shy first but then warms up quickly, she is house and crate trained but will need more positive reinforcement. She does get along with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. She has a clean bill of health. The adoption fee includes her transport to your area and she is being fostered in Houston TX. Axel, our wonderful 3 1/2-year-old Mastiff/Ridgeback mix, who is currently looking for a loving new home. Axel’s was found as a puppy battling Pneumonia and Parvo. After a month of intensive care, our family stepped in as Axel’s foster, and he quickly fit in with our four other dogs. Axel has thrived in our home and gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. He weighs around 85 pounds and is fully up to date on all his required vet appointments. His recent annual physical went smoothly, with his blood work showing no issues and confirming he’s in great health. In terms of temperament, Axel is truly the perfect family dog. He is house trained, leash trained, and responds reliably to all basic commands like sit, stay, come, and lay down. Walks with Axel are always a pleasure—he’s easy to handle on a leash and loves being out and about. He’s also incredibly affectionate and loves attention. Our family is moving and we need to pare down the size of our pack and need find him a home
