Story
Rex came as a rescue from South Carolina, he is currently 8 years old but you wouldn’t know it as he still acts just like a puppy. He enjoys being free and trying to get fed as much as possible by my little ones. The home I am looking for is a home where he can roam free and sunbathe in the warmest part of your house. He is a friendly dog that loves attention, he does very well with children of all ages and people.

Story
*** Royce's adoption fee has been generously sponsored! *** Royce is a young, happy-go-lucky pup with a goofy grin and a heart full of love. He’s active, playful, and always ready for his next adventure—whether that’s a long walk, a game of fetch, or just zooming around the yard showing off his silly side. Royce has a sweet, affectionate nature and loves being around his people, soaking up attention and sharing his joyful energy. He is a smart and eager learner who has already mastered “sit,” “paw,” and “other paw,” and is currently perfecting his “down.” Royce truly enjoys training time and loves showing off his skills for treats and praise. Royce would be a great match for an active family excited to keep him moving and continue his training as he grows into the best version of himself. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion who will keep you smiling and by your side through it all, Royce is ready to be your new best friend. 🐶✨ *** Royce's adoption fee has been generously sponsored! ***

Story
Meet Darrin! My adoption fee is covered by Jeff`s Fund! I will be happiest with another dog in my home! This handsome little boy came to us from our shelter partner in Mississippi! He`s an adorable southern boy that looks like a hound mix. When Darrin is around other dogs, he loves playing, getting attention from people, and relaxing. On his own he can be more reserved about the world. So, if your dog is interested in being an playmate with Darrin he may be the one for you! Check out his video: Darrin is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. For more information on or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston please visit us during our adoption center hours: Wednesdays-Sundays from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, Tuesdays by appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM, closed Mondays & Holidays. His unique coloring and striking markings make him truly one of a kind. Poe’s early life was filled with uncertainty, so he can be a little slow to adjust to new environments. But his gentle timidness never reflects the way he feels about people. Poe lives to love. He’s a dedicated cuddle bug, a loyal companion, and a dog who wants nothing more than to bond deeply with his people.Poe thrives in the company of other dogs and would likely do best in a home with a confident canine friend. Having another dog around helps him learn, grow, and continue building his confidence. He has previously lived with a cat and was very respectful. While he hasn’t spent time around children, he could do well with kids who enjoy cuddling and understand the importance of gentle, patient introductions.Poe is making wonderful progress with his training and is almost fully potty trained, with only an occasional accident. He would do best in a home where someone is around frequently—such as a work-from-home household—so he can have regular opportunities to go outside while he continues building consistency. Poe is crate trained and may briefly let you know he’d rather be with his people, but he settles in quickly. He walks calmly on a leash and is a pleasant companion on outings, though he may appreciate a little extra reassurance in busy or high-traffic areas.Poe is searching for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and encouragement he needs to feel safe and confident. In return, he promises unwavering devotion, endless snuggles, and a lifetime of love. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. She will be both your shadow by your side and a ray of sunshine to help you through your woes. She has a medium energy level and would make a great addition to any family where she will deliver your love back tenfold. Daffodil is unstoppable; she loves to run, play and jump around, especially with other dogs. She loves to get her energy out but has no problem toning it down when asked, or when needed. She is so gentle with cats, small dogs and loves kids. There are no strangers on this earth that she wouldn’t want to love!  Daffodil is also mostly crate trained and fully house trained. She goes into the crate for a treat and may whine for a minute or two, but then settles. She walks well on a loose leash and knows several commands.Daffodil has many hobbies; she loves long walks around the neighborhood as long as you’re willing to carry her like the princess she is after a mile. She is an avid gamer and loves to support you by your side through any mission in her own gaming chair. Her favorite past times include cuddling, wrestling and having a good conversation. She is a very opinionated pup and will always have the last word with her adorable trills and grumbles. Could your family be the one she's been waiting for?*Daffodil is part of our Medical Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) Program for daily prescription medication to help her manage pain and inflammation. If you're interested in learning more, we will connect you with our Medical team to explain the process! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
