Story
Danner is a 2 year, 3 month old handsome red boy. This smiling boy weighs approximately 55 lbs and is the sweetest, gentle but playful boy you will meet. He has one of the saddest stories. This sweet boy was on death row. He was set for euthanasia in April of 2023, as a 3-month-old puppy. An amazing person pulled him from the euthanasia list, but with no rescue backing or help, they just wanted to make sure he wasn’t euthanized. a Danner has patiently waited over a year for his forever family. He has grown up in a home he didn’t know wasn’t his forever one. He gets along great with other dogs and doesn’t even mind cats, he does NOT have a high prey drive. Danner’s favorite activities involve laying around in the house, playing with toys and being free in the yard to sunbathe or just run around and stretch out. This awesome boy is a diamond in the ruff. He is so calm but entertaining, just wants to be in your arms and get lots of pets. He will be your most loyal companion, your shadow and your best friend. Danner will follow you around everywhere he can if allowed. He is not a leader, and would do fantastic with another dog in the home to be friends with or to learn how to be a true house dog. He is mostly crate and house trained. Danner would do great with a medium active household as he loves his walks, would do great on shorter runs (he has never been on a run, but he could get the hang of it!). He would thrive on going on adventures and exploring the outdoors. He is still a puppy at heart and does need proper training and stimulation to make him the best version of himself. Danner has waited over 2 years for his home, please help us help him find it. Adoption fee includes: Spay or neuter, current negative heart worm test, current parvo/distemper vaccines, bordatella (kennel cough), rabies vaccination, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, dewormer, microchip, and a health certificate from a vet giving him a clean bill of health PRIOR to adoption. Story
Meet Peanut! He is a handsome Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix Peanut is a sweet, snuggly, and playful puppy who thrives in the company of other dogs. This sweet puppy already loves being part of a pack and enjoys romping around with his furry friends all day. He’s currently living in a foster home with two outdoor cats who visit and, while he might give a curious bark now and then, he doesn’t chase or show aggression—and he redirects easily.Peanut is also kid-friendly! Like most puppies, he may jump or gently nibble when excited, but he’s never aggressive. He’s already crate trained and settling into a good potty routine, going outside every 2–3 hours and improving every day.Ideal home? One with lots of love, and continued support with training and structure as he grows.Peanut is full of joy, cuddles, and puppy charm—he’ll make a wonderful addition to a loving forever family!Name: PeanutBreed: Rhodesian Ridgeback/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 11 weeksWeight: 20lbs (as of 06/828/2025)Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Story
I adopted Fin a few years ago. He helped me get through a divorce. But now I'm in a place where they don't allow dogs. He is with my ex-girlfriend in another city close by. She is taking great care of him, but it's becoming too much for her, understandably. He's a good boy. Loves the beach. Looking for a home that is active, possibly with children, has a backyard. He has run a couple marathons with the previous owner.

Story
Introducing Mandy! Our girl Mandy is an almost 2 years old spotted Catahoula/Lab mix who weighs about 40lbs. This little social butterfly is ready for her furever home. Apply to Foster-to-Adopt or Adopt Mandy here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Although Mandy is hearing and seeing impaired, that doesn’t get in her way. She is flourishing in her foster home. Her foster mom reports: “She is perfectly well behaved! She has no more crate anxiety, walks excellent on a leash and has learned some commands, sit, lay down with hand motions/touch. She is extremely social and well behaved all around. She also doesn't have any accidents in the house. Mandy loves all dogs regardless of size, age, or breed. Her ability to run with the pack despite her disabilities, plus, her ability to relax, cuddle and snuggle up to human and dog friends alike makes her an extra special companion. She even does well with children! Mandy is a true gem. As with any new animal, her adopters should be patient letting her get adapted to their home and routine. Mandy would do best in a home with another dog/dogs or someone who is home the majority of the time. Mandy has not been tested with cats. If Mandy sounds like the girl for you, please fill out an application with Broken Tail Rescue. If you are interested in finding out more about Mandy, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Mandy is being fostered in Worcester. The adoption fee is $350. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet. ____ MA Rescue License 0139
