Louie is a 4-month-old mystery mix who’s already a massive 35 lbs and still growing! Found all alone, this sweet boy has quickly shown us just how special he is. What Makes Louie Amazing: Calm beyond his months – truly one of the mellowest puppies we’ve met Great with cats and dogs – friendly, respectful, and easygoing Working on housetraining – making progress every day. He is about 90% trained. Toy lover extraordinaire – he cherishes his stuffed animals and is incredibly gentle with them Soft-hearted & sweet-natured – the kind of pup who melts into your arms Louie is looking for a family who will love him, guide him, and help him continue growing into the incredible dog he’s destined to be. With his calm demeanor and loving personality, he’s sure to become someone’s very best friend.   PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application.  We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file.  For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters. Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Each pet is spayed/neutered, receives age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, heartworm test (6 months and older) microchipped and  flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle.
