He let me bathe him on his first night, learned to trust, and now sleeps curled beside me every night. Dobby is fully housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. He has warmed up to my cat and is now fully integrated into my little "pack." He follows my older dog’s lead, loves quiet company, and rests deeply—finally able to relax. He’s not high-energy; he’s content with warmth, softness, and love. Dobby deserves a calm home with patient, experienced dog owners.

This is JULIAN. He is one year and nine months old and 25 pounds as of December 23, 2024. He is currently being fostered with many dogs and cats and he’s amazing. We think he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. That’s our best guess! Julian is one of four siblings. His mom was found pregnant as a stray. Everyone has been adopted ~ mom and his three sisters. Lily was born August 1 2015, and came into my life in 2017 through a close friend. In 2019, she survived a major car accident in Rochester, where she was lost in the woods for two weeks before being found—and from then on, I fully adopted her in Buffalo NY. Six years later, she’s still full of energy and spirit, acting most of the time like a playful puppy than a senior dog. I’m now looking for a loving home that can give her the time and attention she deserves in her golden years. A few things to know about her: • She’s a great walker and enjoys meeting people and other animals. • She knows her boundaries and will walk away or pull away if she’s not interested. • She’s very food-motivated and endlessly curious. • She’s a velcro dog—if she could speak it’s “where are WE going?” • She greets you with joy and tail-wagging excitement when you come home. Are you looking for a dog who is equally ready to go out with you on adventures and then come home and snuggle on your lap? Verdi, is your girl. This sweet momma pup was dropped off at a vet office for surgery, but she was so pregnant at the time she went into labor before they could begin. The owner didn't want any of the puppies so a person working at the vet office quickly agreed to foster Verdi and her puppies until they were weaned. Verdi gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies (all adopted). Shortly after their birth, Verdi's owner surrendered her to the foster saying Verdi would be better off. Verdi is a 51 pound black mouth cur mix, who is just over a year old. She is up to date on her vaccinations and was recently spayed. Her foster says she "loves to be loved" - she will climb into your lap and happily accept and reciprocate any and all snuggles. She does have energy so she will do best with an active person/family and would love a place to run. Her mom was a working dog and Verdi seems to have some of those same personality traits. Verdi loves to play with other dogs and she is great with kids - she has currently taken on the role of protector for her fosters' grandkids! Lets find this well deserving girl a forever home! Introducing sweet Ash. This young momma dog gave birth to eight puppies underneath a trailer that was owned by an elderly woman. One of our transport partners asked us to help out in getting Ash and her puppies adopted and into safe, happy homes. Ash is described as being an absolute sweetheart of a girl. She appears to be young (estimated around a year old), and weighs 47 pounds so she is on the smaller side. If adopted, Ash will be brought to the NJ area on our next transport. If ever there was a pup in need of a happy ever after, it's Rusty. This boy was the last dog to be pulled from the shelter kill list. Why? It certainly wasn't because he was a bad boy. Instead it was because of his eye. He had a growth in his eye that was bloody and obscuring his vision. People didn't want to risk taking on his vet bills, but we couldn't let this sweet soul be euthanized. We worked with a wonderful rescue partner to pull him out of the shelter and get him veterinary care. We were able to have the growth surgically removed and then waited with bated breath to see if the growth was cancerous. We just got the good news that the growth was completely benign (not cancerous)!!! Hurray for Rusty! Rusty is about 2 years old and weighs 57 pounds. He gets along wonderfully with people; but we think that he will do best as an only dog since he can be selective (especially with other males). He's a high energy dog (who wouldn't be after regaining sight!) and would do great with an active family. He's good on a leash and good in the car. He's already picked up on a few commands such as 'sit' and he understands 'no.' Rusty is more than ready to find his forever home and start a new chapter of life - one filled with love, heath and happiness! Personality: friendly, affectionate, resilient, active, loves water, good in car Good with: people. Will do best as only dog. Has not been cat tested yet.
