This boy was adopted from us two and a half years ago but his adopter can't keep him due to recent health issues. Lids is a three-year-old, 75 pound boy who is full of energy, and love. He's a cuddler and an affectionate boy! He is looking for a family who can show him love and patience, and work with him if needed. He is good with humans of all ages, including kids. But we recommend older kids because of his energy. He is good with dogs, but like most dogs, he will need a proper introduction. No cats for him. He is housebroken and knows commands for 'sit', 'down', 'off', 'high five' and 'come'. He does need some work with his leash walking skills. The best home for Lids will be: With an active owner who can take him hiking, running, or do agility with him. A friendly and playful resident dog (if there already is a dog in household). This is JULIAN. He is one year and nine months old and 25 pounds as of December 23, 2024. He is currently being fostered with many dogs and cats and he’s amazing. We think he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. That’s our best guess! Julian is one of four siblings. His mom was found pregnant as a stray. Everyone has been adopted ~ mom and his three sisters. He’s been waiting for a forever home for over a year now. He’s ready to go home with you! His foster mom says he’s sweet, loving, and affectionate ~ he’s perfect!! Who isn't up for some puppy sweetness? Cash is a small male puppy who was found as a stray and dropped off at a Texas kill shelter. We saved him (and his brother, Moose) when they were just about 7 weeks old. Right after we pulled him out of the shelter, Cash got sick and spent 6 days in the hospital fighting parvo which can be deadly. At the time he was just a tiny boy, weighing only 4 pounds, so things were especially critical - but he fought hard and pulled through. Now he's a typical happy go lucky puppy. He loves people and especially likes to be carried around and loved up on. He also LOVES snacks - who would have guessed for such a little guy??? He's still just a puppy so he's a tad bit vocal and energetic these days. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is curious about cats....but runs away from them - lol. We don't know what breed he is, though our best guess is possibly a Catahoula mix. Cash is crate trained and is using pee pads. He is vaccinated, will be microchipped, and, if adopted, will be ready to arrive in the NJ area on our next monthly transport. If ever there was a pup in need of a happy ever after, it's Rusty. This boy was the last dog to be pulled from the shelter kill list. Why? It certainly wasn't because he was a bad boy. Instead it was because of his eye. He had a growth in his eye that was bloody and obscuring his vision. People didn't want to risk taking on his vet bills, but we couldn't let this sweet soul be euthanized. We worked with a wonderful rescue partner to pull him out of the shelter and get him veterinary care. We were able to have the growth surgically removed and then waited with bated breath to see if the growth was cancerous. We just got the good news that the growth was completely benign (not cancerous)!!! Hurray for Rusty! Rusty is about 2 years old and weighs 57 pounds. He gets along wonderfully with people; but we think that he will do best as an only dog since he can be selective (especially with other males). He's a high energy dog (who wouldn't be after regaining sight!) and would do great with an active family. He's good on a leash and good in the car. He's already picked up on a few commands such as 'sit' and he understands 'no.' Rusty is more than ready to find his forever home and start a new chapter of life - one filled with love, heath and happiness! Personality: friendly, affectionate, resilient, active, loves water, good in car Good with: people. Will do best as only dog. Has not been cat tested yet. Sweet Ash is an approximately 2 year old, 47 pound, medium-sized, black mouth cur mix dog. She is described as being an absolute sweetheart of a girl. Ash has been diagnosed with chagas disease and is currently doing very well on medication. Her heart has been checked and is normal.
