My name is Waffles. There is so much to say about me... I have had such a great experience in my foster home. I have learned so so much and wow - I am good at so many things. Here is my summary though and I hope you will reach out to ASCZ for more details. I am great in the crate... I go in on command and I am fine being in my crate as needed. I am housebroken. I am good on leash (I don't even pull too much)! I will pull if I see something I want to get but I am controllable for sure. I live with a few dogs of all different personalities and genders - small, big, young, old. I respect them each in their own way and have great dog to dog communication. I know basic commands and respond well to treats. I am very food motivated and therefore super trainable. I would really enjoy a fenced in yard where I can run around and play! I am also a complete love and ask for belly rubs often. I also like to spread out and spend time on my back. LOL. I am a mix of boxer/bulldog and Staffordshire terrier. I could have some Rhodesian in me too. I am super handsome and my eyes are two different colors. One is dark brown and one is light. I have been waiting a long time at a chance for my forever home. Sadly, at three years old, Zeus was surrendered to a Tennessee kill shelter by his owner when they lost their home.  The shelter staff said he is such a sweetheart and quickly became the staff favorite.  Luckily a local rescue saw Zeus' potential and got him to safety. He was adopted here in NJ but was returned to our care when the owners felt they could no longer provide the proper care for him. Zeus is a happy dog who loves all people, but can get overwhelmed around other dogs. Kambria is a rambunctious almost 1 year old female, mixed breed (she appears to have Rhodesian Ridgeback traits) dog. Kambria is a smaller dog, with super puppy energy! She needs lots of room to run and play. Kambria is still working on not jumping on people, and learning to walk on a leash. She will need someone who is calm and patient with her while she is still learning. She is good with other dogs! She may still be a little too boisterous for smaller children, so she would do better with kids who are older (5+). She will excel in an active home with other dogs. Kambria is heartworm negative, and will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. My story is one that started with a shelter number and a death sentence that loomed very close in Eastern Tennessee. My former name was AC23390, but by the hand of God, I was taken from that shelter and now I am Neeka.  In August 2022 I was found by animal control and brought to their tiny sad facility. I weighed only 50 pounds (picture is included).  They posted my picture hoping my owners would come forward and take me home but no one showed up and it was for the best.  I was starved already and they obviously didn’t take good care of me. Things were looking grim but on my last day, an older couple came to see me and they took me home.  They treated me like a Princess and I gained weight and felt their love.  I was so grateful and soon my energetic nature started to emerge and my true breed tendencies demanded that they play with me and help me exercise and get my inner energy out.  But they are really too old and too tired to play with me and they think I need a “younger” couple and family to give me the life that I need.  I have learned to live with cats and I have stopped chasing them for sport since they slapped me in the face a few times.  I just got bored and wanted some fun!   What I really need is someone to give me structure and boundaries and to work with me on being content to be crated when people leave and to have someone that is my pack leader and guide.  I need the reassurance that I have a strong owner who knows exactly what I need every day.  I would love to go for long walks, hikes, jogs or anything active and fun.  A fenced yard is needed and I need patience to be imperfect and to help me become more perfect.  I need to work with meeting dogs and not being intimidated by them.   No one has really gotten me out and about in life and I have the intelligence and desire to really learn how to be OK in this crazy world.  I promise to love you, to adore you and to obediently be your best friend and to learn.  I am now 65 pounds and not starving for food, but I am starving for love and guidance.  Can you help me with that?  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested learning more.   Meet Ellie, a 2-year-old mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Hound! She has reached her mature weight of 45 pounds. She wears a short, brown and red coat that is nice to stroke! Ellie was found wandering the streets and was picked up by a nice woman who brought her to us. Ellie loves to play with people (including kids) and other dogs! She enjoys going on walks and getting belly rubs! And did we mention how much she loves running around in the yard? Ellie would make a great adventure buddy! (ME, 1/17/23) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $375 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . Hi! My name is Katie. I am a Black Mouth Cur Mix and about 2 years old. I am 38 lbs right now and still gaining weight. I should fill out and be about 45 lbs. I am lean naturally and honestly, when ASCZ looks at me, I could even have a little Greyhound in there? I am in a wonderful foster home in Northern NJ and have settled in so nicely there. I am housebroken and even trustworthy left out alone uncrated. I am not destructive. I definitely need another dog or dogs in my new home. It doesn't matter if they are male or female! I really do enjoy my time with my canine friends and I trust them before I trust humans usually. I take their lead at first and if they show me it's, okay, I will follow. That's what my two foster brothers do for me! It didn't take me long to realize that my foster moms were the best ever. I am slow to warm up to males but it just takes me a few minutes longer. I might try to hide but after some time and repeated visits, I do warm up and I have improved immensely over the last few weeks!! As long as the humans allow me to do things on my time, I am fantastic and will definitely get there. I love to play and romp and hang out on the couch. I am a medium energy dog, I am good on leash especially when walked with my doggie siblings for more confidence. A fenced in yard would be great for me and kids 12+. I am untested with cats!
