Story
Hi, I'm Walker! I'm a 2-year-old Ridgeback mix with a gentle heart, great manners, and one simple goal in life—to be wherever my people are! My foster mom says I'm her little shadow because I love following her from room to room. Whether she's cooking dinner, working around the house, or just relaxing, I'm happiest when I'm by her side. I'm a loyal, affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with the people I love. I'm also a well-mannered gentleman! I'm fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and I walk beautifully on a leash, making me an easy companion for neighborhood strolls or weekend adventures. After we've explored together, I'm more than happy to settle in for some quiet time and enjoy simply being with my family. Now, let's talk about my most unforgettable feature...my ENORMOUS ears! Seriously, they're impossible to miss and give me so much personality. I have a sweet, calm personality and am looking for a home where I can continue to thrive. If you're searching for a devoted best friend who will greet you with a wagging tail, happily accompany you through your daily routine, and always be ready for a cuddle, I might just be your perfect match. If you’re interested in adopting or fostering me, you can call 704-266-3647 or email NCteam@austinpetsalive.org to learn more.

Learn more https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Introduction Hello there, future forever family! My name is Liza, and I'm eagerly waiting to find a place I can call home. Let me tell you a little bit about myself – I'm a mixed breed with a heart full of love. Personality Meeting new people is one of my favorite things in the world! Once we meet, I'll be your most loyal and loving companion, following you around and cuddling up for some quality bonding time. Relationship with Other Pets Now, about my feelings towards other furry friends – I'm a strong, independent pup who thrives best as the only dog in the home. I would prefer to be your one and only furry companion. This way, I can feel safe and secure, and give you all my love and attention. I promise to bring lots of energy, snuggles, and joy into our home. I thrive in an active environment with plenty of walks, hikes, and outdoor fun. I spend hours outside and still get the zoomies indoors, so lots of physical and mental stimulation are essential for me. I absolutely adore my people and can't wait to snuggle after our adventures! If you’re ready for an energetic companion, I promise to fill your life with love and joy! ‍‍‍ Family Fit ‍‍‍ I get along brilliantly with people of all ages! Conclusion So, dear potential adopter, if you're someone who understands that good things come to those who wait, I believe we could be the perfect match. With your patience and love, I'll show you just how amazing life with me can be. If you're ready to open your heart to a loving companion, please consider making me a part of your family. Let's create wonderful memories together! If you're interested in adopting me, please contact www.pipsrescue.org. I can't wait to meet you and start this beautiful journey together. Story
Meet Roni — a 6 year old, 53 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart full of love and a deep desire to be close to her people. Quick Facts: Name: Roni Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix Age: 6 years old Weight: 53 lbs. House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes, but not needed Good with Dogs: Yes (would really love a doggie sibing) Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: Yes (even gentle with little kids!) Energy Level: Medium  Fence Required: Yes Dog's Location: Fountain, NC About Roni’s Breed: Our best guess is that Roni is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed breed. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are known for their loyal, athletic, and deeply devoted nature. Originally bred as hunting and guardian dogs, they’re confident, intelligent, and form strong bonds with their families. Despite their impressive presence, they’re often gentle, affectionate companions who love being close to their people and thrive on routine and connection. An ideal home for a Rhodesian Ridgeback is one that offers consistent companionship, regular exercise, and a secure outdoor space. They do best with families who appreciate an active, people oriented dog and can provide structure, positive training, and plenty of time together. With the right balance of activity and affection, they become incredibly loyal, loving members of the household. What to Love about Roni: This beautiful girl is the definition of a loyal companion. She adores her humans and hopes to find a family who is home more often than not, because being near her people is truly her happy place. She’s convinced she’s a 50 lb lap dog and will gladly curl up beside you (or on you!) whenever she gets the chance. She really thrives with a doggie companion too and hopes to have a canine friend in her future forever home! Roni is house trained, crate trained, and has such great manners that she can be left alone without a crate. She has medium energy — the perfect blend of playful and cuddly — and enjoys her twice daily 1–2 mile walks, where she shines on the leash. She’ll need a fenced yard where she can safely run and play. She greets people warmly and interacts well with everyone, though she tends to be a bit of a “girl’s girl” and especially loves female energy. She does well with all ages of kids, and is very gentle with little ones. She’s been good with cats so far, though she may chase outdoor cats because she thinks they want to play. She’s met female dogs successfully and would likely do well with males too. Whether she’s your one and only or has a doggy buddy, she’ll thrive as long as she gets plenty of love and companionship. She also has some natural guard dog tendencies and will bark at people walking by — she takes her job of watching over her home seriously. Roni’s Rad Highlights: • 6 year old, 53 lb possible Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a deeply loving, people oriented personality • House trained, crate trained, and has excellent home manners — can be left alone without a crate • Medium energy girl who enjoys 1–2 mile walks twice a day and is great on a leash • Needs a fenced yard to safely play and explore • Friendly with people and especially loves female energy; good with older school aged kids • Has done well with cats indoors and has met dogs politely (would love a canine sibling!) • Loyal, cuddly, and convinced she’s a 50 lb lap dog • Has some natural guard dog tendencies and will bark at people passing by • Best suited for a home where someone is around often — she loves being close to her humans Roni is a sweet, affectionate, head tilting beauty who wants nothing more than to be part of a loving family.
