Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. Miley is a very sweet girl, she loves attention and being lazy when she is not playing. She has recently become hostile towards our small dog and they can not be together. I do not know if she acts this way with all small dogs. Just our dog or if she doesn't like other girl dogs. Miley has no problem with our other bigger dogs. She routinely plays with our Australian shepherd and a dog we fostered and now keep that is bigger than her. I was told by the person I got here from that she is a pure bred Rhodesian Ridgeback. If she is pure bred she is a runt. She is definitely a daddy's girl, she does listen to my wife but prefers to be by my side. She will take some work to adjust to a new home and new people. She has never been aggressive to our kids or grandkids. She really is a good dog. She needs a fresh start where she will not be judged for biting our small dog. I think she would be great with another dog her size that likes to play. She is crate trained.
