Meet Hugo the unique, fluffy, 3-year-old Rottweiler mix! Hugo is a big dog, currently on a diet here at the shelter, who enjoys his walks and zoomies to get his energy out. Due to his size Hugo can be very strong on leash and could use some training to improve his leash manners. His previous owners said that Hugo was good with small dogs, but not a huge fan of larger dogs, especially if they get in his space. Hugo was used to spending the night in his crate and kept it clean but still needs to work on his potty training while out loose in a home. He also lived with cats previously and left the cats alone in the home who would swat at him, though he was interested in chasing cats outside of the house. Hugo is a sweet boy who enjoys head scratches and cuddles once he gets to know you. Hi there! My name is Bubba and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 2 year old, male, Rottweiler mix who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home. I am the biggest goofball around (I say this with pride!). If I'm not prancing around in a yard playing with my toys, I'm laying in my bed on my back with my paws in the air. I love fetch, probably almost as much as I love my food. Social settings are my place to be, I love meeting new people and new dogs - as far as I'm concerned, everyone is my friend. When I'm not being silly, I enjoy quality time with my people. Belly rubs and chest scratches are a must! I'm the perfect companion if you want someone who's a mix of adventurous and lazy. Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777. When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
