This happy boy is always excited to spend time with our staff and volunteers and loves being part of the action. Benjamin is a strong guy and will benefit from some basic manners training, as he can pull a little bit on leash but with consistent leadership and guidance, he’ll catch on quickly. During a recent outing, Benjamin spent a day in a home enjoying delicious meals prepared especially for him, playing in the yard with some toys, and receiving all the affection he wanted. He is house-broken, not a fan of cats, did not jump in furniture, and gently approached the people in the house to sit on their laps or ask for belly rubs. Benjamin is eager to learn, ready for adventure, and looking for a home where he can be a true member of the family. Come down to the shelter to say hello to this handsome boy—he’ll win you over in no time and be thrilled to start a fun, happy life by your side. Hi there! My name is Baby Ruth and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I am a 2 year old male Doberman. I am sweet, shy, and a bit timid to start off. I enjoy lounging in the sun, playing with squeaky toys, and getting all the love you can give! Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!
