Story
Meet Hugo the unique, fluffy, 3-year-old Rottweiler mix! Hugo is a big dog, currently on a diet here at the shelter, who enjoys his walks and zoomies to get his energy out. Due to his size Hugo can be very strong on leash and could use some training to improve his leash manners. His previous owners said that Hugo was good with small dogs, but not a huge fan of larger dogs, especially if they get in his space. Hugo was used to spending the night in his crate and kept it clean but still needs to work on his potty training while out loose in a home. He also lived with cats previously and left the cats alone in the home who would swat at him, though he was interested in chasing cats outside of the house. Hugo is a sweet boy who enjoys head scratches and cuddles once he gets to know you. Call (805)781-4400 to make an appointment or walk in to the shelter during our open kennel hours (M-Sat 1-5, Wed 1-7) to meet Hugo today!
