Story
Indigo is a 4 ½ year old Rottweiler. She currently weighs 69 pounds but should be at least 80 pounds. Indigo will "sing" when she hears a siren go by. It's very cute. Walks are very important for her as she does not, at least currently, enjoy hanging out in the backyard. Loud or strange/new noises, such as large trucks, trash trucks, etc, are very scary. Indigo thinks it is awesome when she sees a bunny but then she chases them so her new people need to be aware of this so both walker and Indigo are safe. She loves to have a chew stick after dinner. She would like another dog in the home to help her, so a meeting with your calm dog(s) to be sure they are a good fit is important. Indigo prefers to have her people home more often than out of the home and would do best with teens who are calmer and move more slowly. Indigo is a sensitive girl who prefers a peaceful home with a lot of love and care. If you would like to meet Indigo, please apply at NMDR.org.- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. 🐾🌟 Meet Bear and Rocky – The Dynamic Duo! 🌟🐾 🎀 Names: Bear (Mastiff/Pit Bull mix) & Rocky (Rottweiler/Pit Bull mix) 🐶 Ages: Bear (Born 7/19/2018), Rocky (Born 11/29/2017) 🏠 Location: From Forgotten to Forever Rescue Denver Bear and Rocky are more than just a pair of dogs – they're best friends and devoted brothers who share an unbreakable bond. This inseparable duo is on the lookout for a forever home where they can continue their adventures together and bring endless joy to their new human companions! 🌟 Personalities: Bear is a brindle beauty who is as smart as he is handsome. A quick learner with a heart of gold, he's always eager to please and will do anything to make his humans happy. Rocky, on the other hand, is the milder of the two, offering a calm and gentle presence that complements Bear's energetic spirit perfectly. Together, they make an unbeatable team! 🐾 Interests: These outdoorsy pups thrive on sunshine and fresh air, whether they're racing around the yard or simply basking in the warmth of the sun. They have a deep love for their human companions and want nothing more than to be by their side, sharing in all of life's adventures. Bear and Rocky enjoy chewing on bones and toys, and they're both learning the command to "down" like pros! 💖 Ideal Home: Bear and Rocky are seeking a forever home where they can be the center of attention – no other animals, please! Story
We adopted royal from a shelter and he was very depressed when we got him. Once he warmed up to us he was very loyal ,energetic, and playful. Royal is very sweet and food motivated. He took to our 2 oldest kids. He doesn’t do well with younger kids. When we adopted we were told that he would get out of anything and everything and he does. Royal love to go on walks. He loves open space. He may wonder but will come back. He is cautious and very vocal around men. He doesn’t do good around other animals like dogs.

Story
Meet Jolene, Jolene is looking for a foster that would love to add her to their family after she completes heart worm treatment. Jolene will need to make monthly trips to Colorado Springs for treatment and will be officially be able to be homed in May/June when her treatment is completed and she is ready for spay. Jolene is a super sweet girl that loves everyone she meets. She would love a home where she can rest and heal from her current litter and get the treatment she desperately needs for her heart worms. She would be a long term foster with her journey ahead of her. Jolene is good with other dogs and she desperately would love to be able to play with other dogs but currently with her heartworm treatment she can't get overly excited. She has already had her first heart worm injection and will have her next two on April 16th&17th. In May she will have a heart worm test to see if her pesky worms are leaving. As we have hoped with getting the puppies out of her system and getting her heartworm treatment started her heart is doing a lot better. To apply to foster Jolene please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/foster-application To get preapproved for adoption please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Story
Meet Jax, Jax has been returned to rescue because he barked at a neighbor and well we can't really make that up. Jax is a blue & tan boy with natural ears and a tail that is just over 4 years old. He is a super sweet boy and deserves the best life. He is a very smart boy who loves cuddles, is great on a leash, and knows a lot of commands! He's a great running and hiking partner, too! Jax needs to be in a Doberman experienced home with no small children but older dog respecting children are fine. Jax will need to be in a home that is willing to work with him and learn from the trainer that has been such a gift to this dog. He will also need a new home with a 6 ft fence, as he can clear a 3-4 ft fence if he decided to let himself out on a run. Jax is fully vetted and ready for his new forever home. We are currently accepting applications for Jax at www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming.
