Story
This is Kane. He had to flee NM after allegedly committing tax fraud, which isn’t easy when you are a 100-pound Rottweiler with limited access to financial software. The good news is he’s laying low now and focusing on rebuilding his life, one chicken treat at a time. Don’t let his size fool you, he’s all heart and fully convinced he’s a lap dog. If you sit down, you’ve agreed to cuddles, it’s a contract. Kane enjoys short walks, exploring his new city at a relaxed pace and keeping a respectful distance from the IRS. Despite his size, he has good manners on a leash and will continue to improve with consistency. He’s crate-savvy and content relaxing in his space with the door open, where he can reflect on his past financial decisions. Personality-wise, Kane is affectionate, smart, confident, and calm. He believes being part of a family means being involved in whatever you’re doing, whether that’s reading, folding laundry, or Googling “what are taxes”. He is smart, mildly dramatic and food motivated. Kane would thrive with adopters who appreciate a big, smart, loving dog who enjoys both adventures and couch time. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who’s equal parts lap dog, shadow, and white-collar criminal mastermind, Kane is your guy. ##2666755##

Story
Tonya is an eight year old Rottweiler with a heart every bit as big as her beautiful frame. Her adoption fee has been fully sponsored by someone who loves her very much and simply wants to see her in a loving home. A special person believed in her so deeply that they made sure cost would never stand in the way of her being chosen. All Tonya needs now is someone to say yes to forever with her. She is a giant ball of love and curiosity. Tonya adores going outside, where she can stretch her legs and take in the world around her. Playing ball is her absolute favorite, and she proudly carries her ball around in her mouth like it is the greatest treasure she has ever found. On quiet afternoons she sometimes gets to roam the shelter, happily following staff from room to room just to see what everyone is doing. One of her sweetest habits is picking out her very own toy from the bin, carefully choosing the one that speaks to her heart. Tonya truly exudes happiness. She leans into affection, soaks up every bit of love, and gives it right back. She is waiting to be someone’s true love, the kind of loyal companion who fills a home with warmth, joy, and unwavering devotion.

Story
Hello, I’m reaching out to ask about owner-assisted rehoming or rescue placement for our 1.5-year-old Rottweiler, Tank. We are located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tank is a loving, energetic young Rottweiler who does well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with our 10-year-old dog. They play and coexist without issues. He has also been around children; while he is not aggressive, he can be a bit rough due to his size and energy, which is something we manage closely. With a baby on the way, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to look for a home that can give Tank the time, consistency, and training he deserves. He gets three walks a day and is crate-trained at night, but he would truly thrive with someone experienced with large working breeds who can continue his training. Behavior notes (being fully transparent): Energetic and strong; benefits from structure Counter-surfs Leash-reactive to vehicles (lunging, not aggression)

Story
Meet Miss Liberty! She is the sweetest dog who absolutely loves people. She is good with other dogs, friendly but somewhat indifferent. Have not seen her with a cat but she does have a prey drive with squirrels and bunnies. She is good on a leash and is overall potty trained, has not had any accidents so far. She is learning obedience commands but knows sit and will settle into her crate easily. She is a Velcro dog looking for her person to bond with!!! ##2567519##

Story
Rex was found abandoned in Kremmling CO on a deserted road. He was extremely skinny, and he was only three weeks when he was found, Sept 2025. Since he was found, we gave him proper nutrition, shots, taught him basic commands and training. He is not fixed and he is up to date on all his shots. The vet recommends neutering him at around the one year mark, so around August 2026 if you decide to neuter him. He is an excellent dog, truly. He has been such a fast learner, responsive, and food driven. Hes great with dogs, cats, kids, adults. He knows these commands: Rex, Come, Sit, Paw(Shake), Stay, Go to Bed, Lay Down, Leave It, Drop It, No, Gentle. He is trained on a bell system to go outside, and can use a doggy door. We will give you everything we have. An XL Kennel, two dog beds, water/food bowl, dog food, treats, toys, leash, etc. We both work full time and have busy schedules; we cannot give the attention he deserves. Also not supposed to have a dog where we live.
