Story
REIGN was found tied to our fence on New Year's Eve. At the time, he seemed like a very insecure, tentative guy. After about a week of being with us, we received a note about his past. Apparently Reign was rescued from an abusive home by a good Samaritan. We feel that he was introduced too quickly and shown love too quickly and escalated to top dog, resulting in a couple of bites and A dogfight. We have been going slow with Reign and feel that he would do well a Rottweiler savvy, female only home. He is not a confident dog and needs to experience the things he missed out on in his first home – long gentle hikes would be ideal confidence builders.  Once he settles in, a basic obedience class would be a great beginning 'job'.  Reign Is learning a little bit each day and we are not looking to rush him into a home, we would like a family that is able to do several meet and greets, overnights and take it slow slowly. Reign has been neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for heartworm and tickborne diseases and has been microchipped. Adoption $350. Please fill out our dog adoption application prior to making an appointment to come out and meet Reign. March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Cowboy is a handsome rottweiler/shepherd mix that has the most beautiful honey-colored eyes. When Cowboy looks at you, he looks right into your soul. While his eyes are beautiful, they are still sad, as they know, he has nobody wanting him. This boy is 2 years old and weighs 54 lbs. Cowboy has been at the sanctuary since he was a tiny puppy, along with his siblings. About 22 months ago, back around June of 2024, a rescue asked for them to take him and 3 siblings into care at just 8 weeks old with commitment to help financially and take them on the next transport. The rescue delayed, delayed and delayed. They didn't give a dime to their care before ultimately ghosting them completely once they were 5 months old. THEN, another rescue stepped in and tagged them. They ended up ALSO completely ghosting 6 weeks later. The sanctuary, based in South Texas along the Texas/Mexico border, had little options back then. They begged for help, and nobody stepped in to help. Unfortunately, it led to Cowboy and his siblings growing up without ever knowing what their forever is. Cowboy could have had his forever home 2 years ago, instead, 2 rescues took that away from them. This is where we have stepped into help. We want to help Cowboy find his forever home he so deserves. Cowboy loves to hang out in the AC and next to people. He is quiet, chill and so relaxed. When he is outside, he loves to sit in the pools and cool down. He does not want craziness and does not need lots of energy, just needs proper exercise and lots of love. Cowboy loves other dogs but would not mind at all being an only dog. He is currently in the sanctuary with other dogs. His favorite treats are hot dogs; he can never get enough of them. Cowboy likes to sit back and watch the chaos of other dogs rather than joining in. He just wants to sunbathe, relax and love life! Cowboy requests strong toys, as anything less will be nothing more than fluff when he is done with it. But man, he LOVES his toys! Cowboy knows how to walk on a leash and gets very excited when going for a walk. He will grab the leash with his mouth and try to walk himself. He LOVES adventures. The sanctuary has pigs, and we know for sure he gets along with them! Cowboy is smart, loyal, and has the best smile. He does not need a lot, but does need someone with patience, love, and a kind heart. Cowboy wants his best friend, and we hope his best friend is out there for him. Cowboy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY - Brewster, NY - New York, NY Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH - Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH - Cincinnati, OH - Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the Texas foster who has the doggy for you to make sure the pup is the perfect fit.
