REIGN was found tied to our fence on New Year's Eve. At the time, he seemed like a very insecure, tentative guy. After about a week of being with us, we received a note about his past. Apparently Reign was rescued from an abusive home by a good Samaritan. We feel that he was introduced too quickly and shown love too quickly and escalated to top dog, resulting in a couple of bites and A dogfight. We have been going slow with Reign and feel that he would do well a Rottweiler savvy, female only home. He is not a confident dog and needs to experience the things he missed out on in his first home – long gentle hikes would be ideal confidence builders. Once he settles in, a basic obedience class would be a great beginning 'job'. Reign Is learning a little bit each day and we are not looking to rush him into a home, we would like a family that is able to do several meet and greets, overnights and take it slow slowly. Reign has been neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for heartworm and tickborne diseases and has been microchipped. Adoption $350. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you).
