Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Darla! An approximately 4-5 year old Rottweiler, who is one of the prettiest girls ever! She has beautiful eyes and adorable wrinkles on her snout. Sometimes she’ll look at you with just a little piece of tongue sticking out and it’s too cute for words! She loves everyone she meets. She has a heart shaped pattern on her nub area, which just shows how full of love this girl is. She loves to snuggle and get attention from her people, and will have a full conversation using her rottie rumble. She is very vocal! She can be moderate to high energy a good amount of time but can be very lazy at times as well. She is very social in the home setting, but needs work socializing outside of the home.  She loves playing with her Kong ball. She will play by herself or bring the ball to you to throw to her. She’s a great catcher. She also loves her other Kong toys and Benebones. She is crate trained and will often just go lay in there and sleep when the door is open. She is house trained, and if she is taking too long to do her business and you know she’s due, you just tell her “Darla do your business or you're not getting cookies” and she’ll get right to it. She’s very smart! She is a good sleeper, and sleeps through the night in the bedroom.  Once she calms down, she walks nicely on a leash. She rides great in a car.   Darla previously lived with a 7 year old girl, whom she loved. When the child was calm and just sitting on the couch, Darla would just lay beside her and chew on a toy. If she was running and noisy, Darla would get excited too. She currently lives with two foster fur siblings. It is best for her to not be in a home with cats.   Darla would love a home with people who will give her attention, activity and exercise, and train and work with her certain issues. She definitely needs a fenced yard because she loves to run and just sniff around etc. She loves water play - whether it is a splash pad, a human swimming pool, or a sprinkler. Darla is learning manners around her people’s food. She’s not food aggressive, but is always on the lookout for a snack, whether it’s from your plate or the counter. She is learning to give her people space while they are eating at the table and has been doing well. Because of her previous history of food scarcity, she does go out of her way to find food and is best crated when she’s not able to be closely watched.   Darla is a highly intelligent girl and looks to please her people and listens well. If you give her the time and attention she needs, you will get a great return on your investment! She is an incredible dog.   As a result of her past, Darla was experiencing some digestive issues, such as reflux and regurgitation, which is now under control. She gets an acid reducer every morning (CVS brand Esomeprazole Magnesium 20mg delayed release mini capsules in a little dab of cream cheese before feeding) and she is eating Royal Canin Hydrolyed Protein prescription kibble. She gets a little bit of homemade food, a spoonful of pumpkin, vitamins and probiotics and has been doing very well. She is a healthy and happy girl, and weighs in at 75 lbs. She’s not a fan of nail trims but the vet’s office says she’s pretty good otherwise. Please consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful girl. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Darla, please complete an application and tell us more about your family. May 1, 2025, 6:50 pm

Story
Ever want a dog you can flip into 'sport mode'? It's me! Pick me! I would love to do some doggie sports with you! In fact I thrive on them. I started out slow with fetch and learning how to walk nicely on the leash, but I'm ready to move on to bigger things. Maybe I'd enjoy dock diving or fast CAT. I have a high drive and want to please the humans I love, but I'm perfectly fine being crated. I would do best as an only dog or as a member of a crate and rotate pack. My adopter should have a fenced in yard that I can run in and have experience with sports dogs. I'm excellent when I get my energy out, but I can be destructive without exercise. About me: my name is Poe, I am about 2 years old now. I'm a neutered male with a factory tail. To apply to adopt go to lostangelsanimalrescue.org

Story
We rescued her from a shelter recently, we believe she is 8-10 years old and is completely healthy. She is an extremely sweet and loving dog that we love very much, but unfortunately she does not do well with small dogs which is why we need to rehome. She is very relaxed and calm, while occasionally having her bursts of goofy energy, just a giant love bug. We’re looking for a home that we know she’ll be very well loved and taken care of as we wish we could for her.
