Story
Meet Digger, an adorable Pit Bull Terrier mix puppy with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a serious appreciation for snuggles. Born around April 28, 2026 and weighing about 20 pounds, Digger is still learning all the important puppy lessons, but his foster family says he’s making great progress. Digger is a little shy when he first meets someone and can be unsure about being picked up, but once he settles in, his sweet personality shines through. He loves giving kisses, curling up next to his people on the couch, and following his foster family's big dogs everywhere. He enjoys playing with toys, chasing a ball, romping around the yard, and generally keeping himself entertained at home. He’s been doing a great job with potty training and goes outside every time his foster family takes him out. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night, although he may let you know when he’s ready to come out if he’s been in there for a while. He also enjoys car rides and would love a family who can continue helping him build confidence and learn his puppy manners. Like most puppies, Digger can be a little mouthy and likes to jump up when he’s excited, but he responds well to redirection and is making good progress. He is gentle with the children in his foster home and does well with big dogs, too. In fact, having a canine buddy to show him the ropes seems to be right up his alley. If you’re looking for a sweet puppy who wants to be part of the family, Digger may be your guy. He’s ready to keep learning, keep growing, and find the people he can shower with kisses for years to come. His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
