Story
Meet Odin — At just 7 months old, Odin is a Boxer mix who perfectly embodies everything people love about the breed—playful, affectionate, and full of life. He’s fully vetted, neutered, and more than ready to find a forever home where he can share all the love he has to give. Odin absolutely adores his people and thrives on attention. Whether he’s curled up next to you for a cuddle session or following you around the house, he just wants to be part of your world. His loyalty runs deep, and he’ll happily be your shadow wherever you go. True to his playful nature, Odin loves spending time with other dogs and enjoys all kinds of toys. From chasing a ball to a good game of tug-of-war, his enthusiasm is contagious and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. He’s also doing great with his house training and has wonderful manners for such a young pup. Odin is the kind of dog who brings energy, laughter, and warmth into every moment. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will keep life fun while also being your snuggle buddy at the end of the day, Odin is your guy. We encourage adopters to read profiles fully and reach out with any questions — we are always happy to help. Inquiries through the site are not consistently coming through. Occasionally, we may not have had a puppy long enough for a second round. Puppies under 6 months of age are not spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering is a required condition of adoption and must be completed by the puppy’s first birthday or by your veterinarian's recommendation, at the adopter’s expense. Out-of-state surgery costs are not included in the adoption fee. Breed Disclaimer: Breed is our best estimate based on the puppy’s appearance and, when known, the mother’s appearance. Fathers are rarely known, and litters can have multiple fathers, meaning puppies may be half-siblings with different breed mixes. ⸻

Story
Vida’s name means life, and it couldn’t suit her better. This beautiful boxer girl came to us from a situation of severe neglect, where she had been starved and confined to a very small space. When she first arrived, she was weak and unsure of the world around her. But in just a few short weeks in foster care, Vida has shown everyone exactly how strong and resilient she truly is. She is now at a healthy weight, continues to build strength in her hind end, and is learning what it means to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Vida especially enjoys the companionship of people and other dogs and has done wonderfully with her foster boxer sister. Vida is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She is currently thriving in foster care while she waits for a special home that can offer patience, consistency, and plenty of time together. Vida has already come so far. Now she’s ready for a family to help her continue the journey. Vida is going to remain in foster until she finds her forever home! Meet and Greets will need to be scheduled.

Story
Meet Hopsin — your future adventure buddy and loyal sidekick. If you’re looking for a dog with presence, personality, and a whole lot of heart, Hopsin is ready to step into your life and make an impression. This striking, all-white boy turns heads wherever he goes — but it’s his spirit that really stands out. Hopsin is alert, energetic, and always ready for action. Whether it’s a brisk walk, a backyard play session, or learning something new, he thrives when he has a job to do and a person to bond with. He’s strong on the leash, so he’ll do best with someone who can match his energy and help guide him into becoming the best version of himself. The good news? He’s already off to a great start. Hopsin knows sit, down, and paw, and he’s highly food motivated, which makes training both fun and effective. With consistency and positive reinforcement, this smart boy is eager to keep learning and impressing. But beneath that athletic build and lively energy is a dog who’s looking for connection. Hopsin isn’t just about movement — he’s about loyalty, companionship, and being your ride-or-die partner. Ideal home: • Active individual or family • Someone comfortable handling a strong dog • A home that can provide structure, exercise, and continued training If you’re ready for a dog who will keep up with your pace, challenge you in the best ways, and reward you with unwavering devotion, Hopsin is ready to meet you. Give him a chance — he might just be the missing piece you didn’t know you were looking for. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Cece is an 2 year old mixed breed who weighs about 35 pounds. Beneath her initial shyness lies a sweet, playful, and loyal companion who just needs a little time to feel safe. Cece is nervous in new situations and takes longer to warm up to men, but once she trusts you, her loving nature shines through. She craves companionship and will follow her favorite people around the house, happily curling up in your lap or entertaining herself with toys. Cece loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine friend to help her build confidence, though she may need some time to adjust to new doggy pals. Cece enjoys running around in the yard, playing with toys, and getting the zoomies once she feels at home. While she hasn’t started leash walks yet due to her fearfulness, she’ll likely benefit from long walks and other forms of exercise to meet her energy needs. Cece needs a quiet, experienced home with a fenced yard to ensure her safety, as she is prone to running when scared. While her interactions with kids have been few, we believe she could adapt to a home with calm, patient children. With time, love, and understanding, Cece will blossom into a devoted and affectionate member of your family. Cece's adoption fee has been sponsored.  There is a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
