I'm 50 lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $450 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon! Story
Huck is around 1-2 years old, medium energy, and about 50lbs. He is a major snuggler and has been a quick learner! He is crate trained and walks well on leash. He enjoys playing, but is not super interested in toys. He doesn't shed much at all! He LOVES kids and is gentle with babies. He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes! Huck is currently fostered with kids and dogs. Huck needs a home without cats. Huck found himself roaming the streets of Lubbock, TX for weeks or even months. Huck was immediately a sweet boy, and it is clear that he has experienced some sort of trauma in the past as he is scared of men. He is not aggressive at all, he just tries to avoid them. His foster thinks that he would warm up to a man after time, but the man needs to be patient with him. With women and kids, he is readily a snuggly boy! Huck is currently in Texas, but we want to bring him up to Wisconsin soon and transport can be easily arranged!

I`m around 55 lbs, and a medium to high energy girl that loves play time and long walks! I do get excited when I play, so I prefer children over the age of 10 and no cats in my home. I can be dog selective, but that`s only because I want the perfect playmate, so I just need a proper introduction, then we are off to play! Meet Lenny! Lenny is a goofy boy who loves his people and loves a good game of fetch. This guy loves playing with his friends in play group and could live with another dog who`s respectful of his boundaries and likes to play. Lenny lives up to his Rottweiler tendencies so he would do best with a home that has done research on the breed. Lenny knows ‘sit’ and ‘down’. Lenny does have some quirks which can be discussed with potential adopters. Lenny’s preferred home would be with kids older than 13+ and can respect his boundaries.
