Online Adoption Application › Brooklyn is a happy dog wanting her head rubbed. She is adjusting well to the new changes of her foster home from being in a shelter very well. She likes to play with tennis balls (she knows how to fetch and return the ball) and playing with her foster sibling. She loves to lay her head on people's laps and get head rubs. She is also heartworm positive and is being treated for it. C.A.R.E. will pay for her remaining treatment, as long as her appointments are continued through our partnered vets as scheduled, if adopted prior to the end of her treatment. She will do best in a house without cats and is highly treat motivated. Unsure on her age but she is an adult and is mostly potty trained with accidents rarely. CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies. All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped. All payments are by credit card. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 24, 2023, 3:50 pm

Story
I had adopted Daisha from the shelter last year and she had been a joy. She’s 8yrs old and very laid back, mainly she just lays around the house until it’s time to eat. Unfortunately I have to put her up for adoption because my complex has changed their policy on dogs and no longer accepts her breed. She gets along with everyone and is the easiest dog to care for. I’m currently feeding her Diamond Essentials and use Dr. Martyr’s Nature Blend freeze dried dog food as just a topper. She deserves to go to a great laid back home full of love.

Story
I'm Llama, I am a sensitive guy looking for a family that is willing to take things slow with me a first. I can be a little wary of people, but once I am comfortable I am a big goofball and love to bounce around and play! I can be nervous with some new dogs, but may pair well with one that is dog-savvy and tolerant. Staff can set up an intro if you have another dog to be sure we are comfortable with one another! Due to how sensitive I am and my overall size/energy level, I am not going to be the best fit for a home with small children.Llama's adoption fee has been sponsored by Hensley Legal Group to help him find his forever home!

Story
Danny is a very special guy, and definitely a staff favorite here. When he came into the shelter he was so shut down and terrified. He did not let anyone touch him, leash him up, didn't play with toys or wag his tail. He was abandoned on a bus for an unknown amount of time and lost all trust in people. You could see the fear and stress in his eyes everyday - always on edge thinking someone would hurt him. After working with him every single day for months he finally started to progress. It started with taking treats from our hand, to letting us scratch his chin for a few seconds. Then he finally had his first zoomies, his first toy and tail wag. But the best day was when he finally let a staff member give him proper pets and butt scratchies. Then we discovered that he loves dogs AND cats! Danny is still working on his people skills, but is getting better by the day. There are a few staff members that he's completely comfortable with, but he doesn't freak out with strangers anymore. He observes people, and smells them, he just won't let new people pet him at first. Danny is scared of small children and should be in a home with adults, and older teenagers only. His new home will require a tall fenced in back yard, as he is potentially a flight risk if he gets too scared. An approved application is required before meeting Danny as he absolutely needs the perfect fit. Danny is not a dog for a novice owner, he will need lots of patience, work, and a responsible owner who will ensure his safety at all times in all situations. This boy is goofy, perfect, and has a lot of love to give.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Smart friendly playful male!Fun loving dog who gets along with other dogs and we think cats too!  He was chosen for board and train while at our animal control facillity so he has worked with a trainer for two weeks and would do great with someone interested in following through on all he has learned! He is high energy, loves to take walks and play fetch.  He is very loving and likes other dogs. We think he is OK with cats based on a preliminary assessment. He had DNA testing and is 52% boxer, 30% australian shepherd, and 10% GSD.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 24, 2023, 3:50 pm
