Linetta is a sweet girl who enjoys meeting new people. Linetta makes friends wherever she goes! If you are looking for a loyal affectionate dog that enjoys daily walks, Linetta may be the girl for you. She needs a home without other dogs and with someone who will be sure to play with her every day. Adults and teens are preferred as Linetta has no experience living with young children. Linetta has learned some basic skills. She will sit when asked and is open to learning a new name should you chose to change it after you adopt. Story
Meet Argos! A beautiful and loyal Rottweiler from Forked River, New Jersey. This 5 year old loving boy is a true gem! Argos is not just a loyal companion; he is ready to be a cherished family member. Argos thrives on the simple joys of life, and one of his favorite activities is going for long walks, exploring the world around him, and reveling in the fresh air. He's a well-mannered fellow who's mastered essential commands like sit, stay, lay down, and eagerly awaits the mention of "good boy!" His eyes light up with excitement at the mere mention of "treats"! With a medium energy level, Argos strikes a perfect balance between playtime and relaxation. However, he could benefit from additional training to refine his manners and ensure he remains the best possible companion. Argos is naturally protective, making him an excellent guardian, although he may display resource-guarding tendencies, so it's essential to be mindful of this behavior. To provide the best possible life for Argos, his new caregiver must be experienced with Rottweilers and have a deep understanding of the breed's characteristics. Argos thrives when he's the center of attention, so he's best suited as the only dog in the household, ensuring he receives the undivided love and care he deserves. In Argos, you'll discover a loyal and devoted companion who is eager to bond with someone willing to invest time and effort into consistent training. He yearns for a responsible and understanding person who can guide him through life, providing the structure and guidance he needs. With the right individual by his side, Argos is ready to share his big heart and unending loyalty. If you are ready to learn more and offer Argos the best life possible, he's waiting for you to be his forever friend and partner in adventure! To make sure that Argos has a great start with his new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation. If you have any questions about Argos, please email adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  COURTESY POST! We want to tell you about Lennox. This handsome guy arrived in CT, but that is not where his story begins. Lennox came to a Georgia shelter as a stray, and he was very sick. Lennox had an upper respiratory tract infection. He looked down in the dumps, just miserable. The staff at the Vet clinic in Georgia where he was placed took great care of him. Now that he is healthy, this beautiful boy is in CT looking for a CT Foster or CT RI NH VT or MA Adopter to help write the rest of his story. Lennox is a big ole’ goofball of a dog, a big puppy. Lennox is listed as a Mastiff of some sort, we think he is a Rottweiler mix, 3 yrs old and a good 72lbs. He is a giant love bug…he will come in for a hug and paw you while you are driving. Lennox will try to get in the front seat and kiss you. All of this is very endearing, but Lennox needs to learn manners. He is working with a trainer now. Lennox may be best as an only dog, but that may be because he is a lot of dog. We would need to do a meeting with another dog if you were interested. We are going to say “absolutely” no cats. Lennox is big and gorgeous, lovable and active, sweet, goofy and incredibly entertaining. When I look at him, I think of Clifford the Big Red Dog ?. If you have large breed experience, or Mastiff experience reach out to us. You can submit an application and we will call you for an interview. If approved, we can set up a visit! I promise you the food bill will be smaller than Clifford’s. That is one incentive. Another incentive is that you would be making a home for a great dog and helping a Rescue save others. Email janine@changealifedogrescue.org and submit an application: Here is the link to our application: Foster https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/CALR/Dog Adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CALR/Dog Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2024, 12:18 pm
