Fozzy is a young female Rottweiler mix with a fun-loving, silly personality that is sure to make you smile. She loves meeting new people and is always excited to make new friends. Fozzy is a big fan of tug, and when she gets extra excited on walks, she may try to turn the leash into a tug toy. Bringing along a favorite tug toy is a great way to redirect her enthusiasm and make walks even more enjoyable. A chest harness is also recommended to help keep her comfortable and give her handler extra control.Fozzy is wonderfully social with other dogs and thrives in canine company. She has been playful and appropriate with large male dogs at daycare and has also done well in a large group training class alongside smaller female dogs. She enjoys interacting with a variety of canine friends and would likely love a home where she can continue to have positive social experiences.Fozzy has no known history with cats or children, so any introductions should be made thoughtfully. Meet Misty! A spirited almost four-year-old Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix currently living in Blackwood, NJ, whose essence is a golden burst of affection wrapped in a 90-pound frame of playful energy and heart-melting cuddles. Misty is the kind of dog who makes herself known, not just by her stunning golden brown coat with white accents, but with the way she leans in close to rest her head on your chest, or showers you with kisses when you’ve had a long day. She’s a sweet-natured, medium-energy girl who absolutely adores people, especially kids, and thrives in environments filled with love, consistency, and room to stretch her long legs. Her favorite toy? A squeaky octopus that brings out her goofy, playful side every time! This affectionate girl is crate trained, house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She knows commands like “come,” “sit,” “lay,” and “stay”, though like any independent soul, she occasionally needs a reminder to follow through. She’s done well with short periods alone, especially when left with a chew bone (though she’s been known to redecorate with shredded paper if boredom strikes!). Misty has done great at doggie daycare, where structured settings and supervised play make her feel at ease. However, Misty must be the only animal in her home. She has severe resource guarding issues, particularly around food, and has had altercations with other dogs in the home. While she’s friendly with dogs in controlled environments, she cannot share living space or food areas with other animals. Misty shines with positive reinforcement and gentle, firm guidance. She responds beautifully to a calm but confident voice, especially when her excitement bubbles over into enthusiastic greetings (yes, she's a jumper, because she just can't wait to say hello!). I rescued Bartholomew 4 months ago from a shelter he was at for over a year. He was abandoned overnight tied to a pole. He doesn’t do well in the shelter environment, is afraid of shadows, has slight toy and food aggression due to his time there. He has been absolutely thriving in the home environment though. He loves to play fetch, go on walks and hikes, and is even a great snuggler! He responds well to commands such as sit, stay, come, heel, and down. He does not do well with children and as I have 3 I unfortunately cannot keep him. I just want him to find a good home and try to keep him out of the shelter.

Beau is now in a wonderful foster family "living his best life" according to them! He is a sweet 6 yr old guy who is calm and well-mannered. He is quite happy to sit by your side and chew on his bone. Do you have other dogs? Great! Cats? Even better! Beau loves other animals and children. Like the true gentleman that he is, he patiently waits his turn for pettings and food. He is house broken and crate trained. The total package!
