Story
Meet Ziggy, a 4-year-old Rottweiler mix with a shiny coat, soft eyes, and an even sweeter personality. Ziggy is an easygoing girl who enjoys getting out for walks and spending time with her people. She greets new friends with soft tail wags, bright eyes, and a gentle demeanor that quickly wins people over. Once you`ve earned her affection, don`t be surprised if she leans in close for pets or nudges your hand when you stop - Ziggy is always happy to remind you that she`s not quite finished receiving attention. While toys and chew treats haven`t made much of an impression on her so far, Ziggy has definitely discovered the joy of a good butt scratch and a cozy blanket. If you`re looking for a loyal companion with a kind heart and a talent for making people smile, Ziggy may be the perfect match. If you are interested in adopting Ziggy, please visit the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 12-4 pm during our walk-in hours. If you are unable to come during those times, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available by appointment.

Story
This is a courtesy post to help Frankie find the loving home he deserves. Frankie is a sweet, friendly boy with a heart of gold. He loves people and is very easygoing, making him a wonderful, low-maintenance companion. A true couch potato at heart, Frankie enjoys relaxing with his humans and taking in the simple comforts of home. He’s also comfortable in his crate and settles in well when needed. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog to curl up with on the couch and share everyday life, Frankie may be your perfect match. One thing to know about Frankie is that thunderstorms can be scary for him. During stormy weather, he appreciates a little extra comfort and reassurance. Frankie is described as a gentle, affectionate dog who would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family. If you think Frankie could be the right fit for your home, please contact Jen at 603-345-3079 for additional details.

Story
Meet Misty! A spirited almost four-year-old Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix currently living in Blackwood, NJ, whose essence is a golden burst of affection wrapped in a 90-pound frame of playful energy and heart-melting cuddles. Misty is the kind of dog who makes herself known, not just by her stunning golden brown coat with white accents, but with the way she leans in close to rest her head on your chest, or showers you with kisses when you’ve had a long day. She’s a sweet-natured, medium-energy girl who absolutely adores people, especially kids, and thrives in environments filled with love, consistency, and room to stretch her long legs. Her favorite toy? A squeaky octopus that brings out her goofy, playful side every time! This affectionate girl is crate trained, house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She knows commands like “come,” “sit,” “lay,” and “stay”, though like any independent soul, she occasionally needs a reminder to follow through. She’s done well with short periods alone, especially when left with a chew bone (though she’s been known to redecorate with shredded paper if boredom strikes!). Misty has done great at doggie daycare, where structured settings and supervised play make her feel at ease. However, Misty must be the only animal in her home. She has severe resource guarding issues, particularly around food, and has had altercations with other dogs in the home. While she’s friendly with dogs in controlled environments, she cannot share living space or food areas with other animals. Misty shines with positive reinforcement and gentle, firm guidance. She responds beautifully to a calm but confident voice, especially when her excitement bubbles over into enthusiastic greetings (yes, she's a jumper, because she just can't wait to say hello!). Misty is ready for a home with a spacious fenced yard and a patient, loving caregiver who understands her quirks and sees the loyal, affectionate companion beneath. Ready to make room on your couch, and in your heart, for Misty? To learn more about welcoming Misty into your family, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Sheeba, a loving 5 year old rottweiler girl who has a huge heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. She is happiest when she is by your side getting attention, or when she is playing with another dog. Although she may be a little shy at first when meeting new people, once she feels comfortable, her sweet, energetic, and affectionate personality comes out.    Sheeba was originally from texas, and was adopted once but was recently returned through no fault of her own after her owner experienced medical issues and could no longer care for her. Despite this Sheeba has remained incredibly loving and is ready for a fresh start with her forever family.    She is people and dog friendly, and her foster family says that she loves having another dog to play with. She would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of attention, and playtime with a canine friend.    Sheeba is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is crate trained and knows all basic commands. All she is missing is a family to call her own!
