Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  COURTESY POST! We want to tell you about Lennox. This handsome guy arrived in CT, but that is not where his story begins. Lennox came to a Georgia shelter as a stray, and he was very sick. Lennox had an upper respiratory tract infection. He looked down in the dumps, just miserable. The staff at the Vet clinic in Georgia where he was placed took great care of him. Now that he is healthy, this beautiful boy is in CT looking for a CT Foster or CT RI NH VT or MA Adopter to help write the rest of his story. Lennox is a big ole’ goofball of a dog, a big puppy. Lennox is listed as a Mastiff of some sort, we think he is a Rottweiler mix, 3 yrs old and a good 72lbs. He is a giant love bug…he will come in for a hug and paw you while you are driving. Lennox will try to get in the front seat and kiss you. All of this is very endearing, but Lennox needs to learn manners. He is working with a trainer now. Lennox may be best as an only dog, but that may be because he is a lot of dog. We would need to do a meeting with another dog if you were interested. We are going to say “absolutely” no cats. Lennox is big and gorgeous, lovable and active, sweet, goofy and incredibly entertaining. When I look at him, I think of Clifford the Big Red Dog ?. If you have large breed experience, or Mastiff experience reach out to us. You can submit an application and we will call you for an interview. If approved, we can set up a visit! I promise you the food bill will be smaller than Clifford’s. That is one incentive. Another incentive is that you would be making a home for a great dog and helping a Rescue save others. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Samson is literally man's best friend.   He's a very lovable and loyal dog who is a puppy at heart and he is eager to please.   As a bonus, he has obedience training under his belt!! Samson is definitely a ladies' man and loves spending time with the three female dogs in his house, including small dogs, but does not do well with male dogs. He will need to go to an experienced handler.  He is a dog of prey and may do well in search and rescue or tracking. He does have some food aggression issues and is protective of his food and some treats.  Please visit our web site at 4theloveofdog.org for all adoption information Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Anari is still looking for her forever home. This little beauty has put on some weight and is happy and healthy. She is the definition of a pocket rott, and would absolutely curl up in your pocket if you had one big enough! She absolutely adores people and wants to be with you at all times. She will trot around the house following you wherever you go. If you happen to be faster and are out of sight, she will hunt you down and rejoice when she finds you, like you have been gone 1000 years. She makes her foster family laugh constantly with her adorable antics. She has all the southern girl sass and is adapting to life in the north quite well. Her favorite place to be is right by your side, whether it is snuggling on the couch or outside in the yard. She loves her jolly ball and will seek it out as soon as she goes outside. Sometimes she gets distracted by the ball and forgets to do her business, but will remember right before she is asked to go in her crate. She will then go right back out and go to the bathroom. Ball is life. Anari is a pro at fetch and brings it back to you and will lay right down at your feet. She will fetch for as long as you are willing to throw. She occasionally needs some persuasion to drop the ball or “leave it” but has no aggression when trying to take it from her. She will go “belly up” with the ball in her mouth and will lay there happily and receive belly rubs. If you ask Anari, stuffed toys are evil and must be destroyed. They are shaken and chewed thoroughly. Bones and chews are not evil and are acceptable offerings. When Anari lays next to you, she is the best snuggler. Your hand MUST be moving and petting her at all times, she will let you know of her displeasure with a stern look if you stop. Her zoomies are hilarious and she will ping pong off furniture if inside. When she is running and zooming outside, her brakes don’t always work and she will rely on your shins and knees to stop her. Her level of stealth is unmatched and she will creep in front of you and lay down as you are walking, so keep a sharp eye on that! Her human foster sister is officially a moody teen. If you have one, then Anari may solve some of your problems! She will gladly sit and listen to all their worldly woes and give lots of comforting snuggles and kisses while doing so. She’d be down for taking a run to burn off some steam or to get ready for the next sport season. She can break the toughest of attitudes. Warning: May cause unusual symptoms like laughs, smiles, and squeals. She will love all her humans with all her heart for years to come.     eastern PA locationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2024, 7:53 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Looking for a laid back, easy going rottie girl? Meet MISSY! This southern gal is content to sip sweet tea on her dog bed and can be seen donning the latest in Southern Belle hats.  But prissy she is NOT.  Missy is up for a good run around the yard, racing with the fastest squirrels. She is a great companion to bring to an outside dog-friendly patio as she is social with everyone.  Missy is house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car and shares her food (with people, anyway). She prefers the company of polite canines. Cats not likely, but she hasn't met any in our presence.  Missy is a gem to foster, but she's ready for her own family.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2024, 7:53 pm
