Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
**Warning: not an actual Duck! Just a really cute dog** Duckie is a sweet, sweet boy filled with a puppy-like joy for the world. Duckie is ~1.5years old and has a gorgeous dark coat. He is a big softie—and yes, we mean big. 91lbs big, to be exact! But all the more to love you with. This boy is HAPPY! Car rides? Loves them—will sit & relax or watch the world go by. Toys? Can’t get enough of ‘em: tug-o-war is his favorite, but he's flexible. Affection? Yes please: especially when you tell him what a good & handsome boy he is. Duckie is house trained & kennel trained, and he is thriving in his foster home. He loves to have zoomies in the backyard or wrestle (gently!) with his human foster dad. Duckie is not jumpy on people, and his fosters are able to take treats out of his mouth, kennel, remove food bowl, high value treats etc without any problems. He really is as sweet as can be! At the play yard, Duckie has a cool & confident energy: he felt very secure and unbothered. He didn’t have much interest in playing around, but he was calm & content to have other canine buddies in the yard with him. On a recent field trip to Home Depot, he was nervous at some of the new noises, but he stood next to his handler and would sit, stay, lay, wait on command. This boy is such a catch! Duckie is a big boy who can bring a lot of love to the right family. Could that be you? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journeys through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $42 surcharge.

Story
Meet Misty! A spirited three-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix currently living in Blackwood, NJ, whose essence is a golden burst of affection wrapped in a 90-pound frame of playful energy and heart-melting cuddles. Misty is the kind of dog who makes herself known, not just by her stunning golden brown coat with white accents, but with the way she leans in close to rest her head on your chest, or showers you with kisses when you’ve had a long day. She’s a sweet-natured, medium-energy girl who absolutely adores people, especially kids, and thrives in environments filled with love, consistency, and room to stretch her long legs. Her favorite toy? A squeaky octopus that brings out her goofy, playful side every time! This affectionate girl is crate trained, house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She knows commands like “come,” “sit,” “lay,” and “stay”, though like any independent soul, she occasionally needs a reminder to follow through. She’s done well with short periods alone, especially when left with a chew bone (though she’s been known to redecorate with shredded paper if boredom strikes!). Misty has done great at doggie daycare, where structured settings and supervised play make her feel at ease. However, Misty must be the only animal in her home. She has severe resource guarding issues, particularly around food, and has had altercations with other dogs in the home. While she’s friendly with dogs in controlled environments, she cannot share living space or food areas with other animals. Misty shines with positive reinforcement and gentle, firm guidance. She responds beautifully to a calm but confident voice, especially when her excitement bubbles over into enthusiastic greetings (yes, she's a jumper, because she just can't wait to say hello!). Misty is ready for a home with a spacious fenced yard and a patient, loving caregiver who understands her quirks and sees the loyal, affectionate companion beneath. Ready to make room on your couch, and in your heart, for Misty? To learn more about welcoming Misty into your family, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!
