Story
Meet Dibow, a big-hearted senior Rottweiler looking for a new home. This handsome guy has been with his owner since he was a puppy and has been deeply loved throughout his life. Unfortunately, his owner now works two jobs and can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves. Dibow has lived a relatively quiet life and has had limited opportunities for socialization, which is important for potential adopters to understand. While he enjoys being around his people, he prefers to interact on his own terms and appreciates having his personal space respected. At home, Dibow is as laid-back as they come. He’s not one to cause a fuss—unless someone is walking by the house, in which case he'll let you know with a bark or two. He’s incredibly loyal, eager to please, and highly treat-motivated. He enjoys spending time with his people and is always happy to earn a snack along the way. When meeting new people, Dibow does best when allowed to approach on his own terms. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality begins to shine through. He has met other dogs and has generally been curious rather than confrontational, but because of his limited socialization, he would benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions to both people and canine companions. One of Dibow's biggest challenges is that he can be sensitive about people invading his personal space, particularly around his face. Because of this, Dibow will need adopters who can recognize and respect his boundaries, advocate for him in uncomfortable situations, and continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement and patient guidance. Despite these challenges, Dibow has so much to offer the right family. He has a few adorable quirks too—he tries to howl (emphasis on "tries," which somehow makes it even cuter), and when he flashes his charming smile, it looks like he's missing a tooth. It's the kind of goofy grin that can brighten even the toughest day. Dibow isn't looking for perfection—he's looking for understanding. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who thrives with clear communication, patience, and respect. If you're willing to move at his pace, honor his boundaries, and help him continue learning that the world is a safe place, Dibow may just be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾 Adoption fee is $450 plus tax. Story
Bear is a 4-year-old Rottweiler who came to us from an area rescue. He is an absolutely beautiful guy and weighs 114 pounds. Bear enjoys car rides and is a nice guy, but he can be strong on a leash. Rottweilers are a strong, powerful breed, so we encourage anyone interested in Bear to do their research and make sure the breed is a good fit for their lifestyle. Bear would do best with an experienced owner who is comfortable handling a big dog and understands the breed. adoption fee $400 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Miss Molly is ready for a refreshing change of living circumstances – from the kennel environment right into a comforting, relaxing forever home!Molly is an outgoing, playful lab mix who’s already used to home life and eagerly awaits her return to it. She’s fully potty trained and has her basic skills mastered, ready to demonstrate ‘sit,’ ‘shake,’ and ‘lay down’ whenever treats are involved. She’s still working on best leash practices but shows promising progress alongside a confident leader (and again, with her favorite treats). Molly’s favorite activities include meeting new people, going on car rides, and playing fetch.Due to her prey drive, Molly’s home should be a cat-free one. She shares a similar dislike of smaller dogs, but she quite enjoys the company of dogs her size or larger so a big canine friend could be a plus; it just depends on how things go with a proper introduction. Older children are recommended due to her size and spatial awareness when she gets excited. As a dog brimming with excitement around her people, being behind a kennel door causes significant anxiety for Molly and she’s eager to leave it all behind. When she’s enjoying freedom outside of the kennel she’s not destructive, so she can safely be left at home alone without the need for a crate. One of our top priorities is matching Molly with a family that understands her kennel-induced anxiety and won’t confine her to one once she’s home.Besides that, Molly’s well-suited to join a wide variety of family structures. She deserves the best people who’ll cherish her. Help Molly put these stressful kennel days behind her and guide her through life as an appreciated family companion – click the application button on winonahumane.org/adopt to begin!
