This sweet guy has been let down by his humans one too many times. First, he was surrendered because he was obese, the owner telling the vet that he wants the dog euthanized and doesn't want to "waste any more money on him". Then just when life was taking a turn for the better, Max and brother Hachi were abandoned at their dog sitter's home. He is friendly with other dogs and loves people. The most gentle treat taker, potty trained, loves baths, great on walks, and an all around perfect angel. He would sleep with the child in the dog sitter's home.

King is a goofy, playful, and happy 4 year old Rottie. His current family adopted him from the Las Vegas SPCA in May 2023. Soon after adopting him, his family started to notice OCD behavioral issues within him. His family consulted a variety of different local trainers and the conclusion was that with a lot of time and effort put forth in behavioral training his issues can become more manageable. With that said, King needs owners that can dedicate time and effort to giving him attention, exercise, and training consistently. He needs owners that have plenty of experience with dogs and it would be best if they had experience with rotties. He would thrive the best being in a home with no kids or no young kids. He is selective on the dogs that he gets along with so other dogs within the home will have to be introduced.

Astraea is a 6yr old Rottweiler that we adopted from a local shelter who was going to euthanize her due to kennel anxiety. We were misinformed about her ability to get along with other animals. We have 2 cats and 3 dogs. Astraea gets along with the dogs under supervision, but does not get along with the cats. She has not shown any signs of aggression, but needs to be the only animal in the home. Astraea is house trained, LOVES to be the center of attention and get her belly rubbed, she loves to play ball, and go for walks. She also is a cuddle bug. We love her so much and this makes me so sad, however, its just not safe for our cats. Astraea comes from a rough past where she was abused by a backyard breeder, so sometimes she’ll flinch if you move to fast or even pick up a broom to sweep. She needs a home with older children or with only adults.
