Story
Meet Hiccup! 🖤🐾 Hiccup is a beautiful female Rottweiler puppy with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love. She was born with a cleft palate, which means she'll need an adopter who understands her unique needs and is committed to helping her thrive. Don't let her diagnosis fool you—Hiccup is everything you could want in a puppy. She's playful, affectionate, curious, and loves making new friends. Whether she's chasing toys, cuddling up for a nap, or exploring the world around her, she approaches every day with a happy tail and an adventurous spirit. Hiccup is looking for a patient, loving family that sees her for who she is—not just her cleft palate. With the right care, plenty of love, and a little extra dedication, she's ready to fill her forever home with laughter, loyalty, and endless puppy kisses. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Hiccup is ready to meet you. Her perfect family won't be looking for a perfect puppy—they'll be looking for her. ❤️

Story
Leigh is a sweet, gentle soul who is quietly discovering just how wonderful life can be. While new environments can make her a little shy at first, she's already proving to be a quick learner. With a little patience, encouragement, and a handful of treats, her confidence grows a little more every day. Once Leigh feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through. She loves spending time with her people and enjoys soaking up attention from those she trusts. Leigh gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to help show her the ropes. She has not yet been tested with cats. She's currently working on house training, crate training, and leash walking, and because she's food motivated, she's eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. Leigh is also undergoing treatment for heartworms. The good news is that Freedom Ride Rescue will continue to cover the cost of her treatment, even after adoption, so her future family can focus on helping her settle into her new home. Leigh is looking for a family that understands confidence takes time to build. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty and a heart full of affection. If you're ready to help a deserving dog blossom into the companion she's meant to be, Leigh is ready to meet you.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Abby is a 4-year-old, 65-lb Rottweiler with a loving and confident personality. She’s friendly and adores attention, especially belly rubs, and thrives when she has time to spend with her people. Abby has a moderate energy level—she loves carrying her Jolly Ball, chewing on Kongs, and enjoys daily walks. She can pull on leash at first but settles with proper exercise or longer walks. Abby is housebroken, crate trained, and mat/place trained, and is comfortable being alone for 4–5 hours during the day. She also does very well on long trips and during hotel stays, making her a great travel companion. While she is dog selective and takes time to warm up to new canine friends (she prefers low-energy dogs), she can do well in a home with a patient introduction process—or as the only dog. She hasn’t been around cats and does best with older children. Abby’s ideal home includes a fenced yard for safe play and enrichment, and an experienced adopter who will spend quality time training, playing nose work games, or just relaxing together. She’s confident, loves attention, and would make a devoted lap dog for the right person. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, and confident Rottweiler who’s ready to share love, fun, and adventures, Abby could be your perfect match! Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants ideally should  live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  For the right match for Abby, we will consider applicants who live further away if they are willing to travel to Cary to meet her.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ABBY?
