These poor puppies were living outside and arrived covered in fleas and battling intestinal worms. Boomer was more scared than his siblings when he first arrived, but he has come a long way and his playful puppy side is definitely starting to shine! Boomer now loves attention and is learning that people can be kind and that life can be fun. He enjoys playing and being part of the action. He’s still a puppy, so his new family should be prepared to continue working on training, manners, confidence, and all the important lessons that come with growing up. Boomer is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, heartworm, and tick prevention. His adoption fee is $350. Boomer is currently in Texas but can travel to Washington, Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and along the East Coast. If transportation is needed, there is an additional $250 transport fee. Unfortunately, due to state regulations, Boomer cannot travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts. Welcome Brutus to CCPAL Rescue. Brutus is a 2.5 year old Terrier/Rottweiler mix is our best guess of his blend. He weighs about 55 pounds. He is athletic and has a shorter not to much of a shedding dog. I call this dog a man dog. He loves men as the kennel workers are all men and they take great care of him. He is a strong dog but walks well on the leash after he his excitement of a walk has ended. He would be a great jogging, walking or hiking companion. He will sit when you ask him to and he is affectionate. He would be a great companion dog for someone wanting a dog to join them in all their outdoor activities. He is eager to please and not hard to get his willingness to comply. He has a very cute ear that is wonky and it adds to his adorableness in our opinion. He is vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He could go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is only 60 pounds and 2 years old and oh my gosh, she is the sweet little girl around. PENNY is 2 years old and I hate to keep repeating myself but she is simple the sweetest. She has no aggression in any area and does not react to other dogs, she gets along with all of the dogs and loves to play. She walks great on a leash and does not get sick in the car. PENNY was found running the streets of San Antonio, TX and after posting her on social media, no one was looking for her. But that is okay because I am happy to have her in our rescue group. Of course she needs her own home and would make an excellent companion for any human as she is gentle and mild. And she would be a great playmate for another dog.
