Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues

Rosa is a rottweiler who weighs about 90-100 pounds and is guessed to be around 6-8 years old. Rosa was looking pretty rough when she found herself in a high-kill shelter in SW Va. Since coming to us, she has flourished! Rosa is a smart girl who knows how to sit and shake hands. She loves food and is willing to work for it. She is big and strong but is well behaved for her foster mom. We are looking for a strong, competant owner for Rosa who does not have other pets. We would love to see Rosa in her very own home with her very own family. A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other "slow to adopt" dogs! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. This adorable little girl and her siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Blair is a gentle little girl, but does love to run and play with other dogs. She has done amazing with her house and crate training. She is so deserving of a wonderful home to call her own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Story
Lexa walked through our door about three months ago. She was fixed at SPCA in July of 2025. We think she's about 1-2 years old. Lexa got along with the rest of the pack right away. The neighborhood kids and my grandson love her. She tends to nip when she's excited and jump. Lexa is house broken. She will let you know when it's time for a walk, if you're home. Lexa does walk on a leash and pulls a lot. Lexa really loves to snuggle! Anywhere and anytime. She seems to have had some training. She knows hand signals well and also listens to verbal commands.
