Story
Meet Duchess 🐾👑Duchess is a Rottweiler mix who's ready to leave her difficult past behind and start a new chapter filled with love and care. Rescued from a neglectful situation, Duchess hasn't had much socialization, so she's still learning how to trust and navigate the world. She'll need a patient and understanding adopter who can help her build confidence at her own pace. While she's aloof with other dogs, she's incredibly food motivated, which will be a great tool in her training and bonding process. Duchess would do best in a calm home with kids 10+ who can respect her boundaries. If you're ready to give Duchess the time and love she needs to truly blossom, she'll reward you with loyalty and gratitude. Could you be the one to give this regal girl her happily ever after? 💕 Primary Color: Black Brown Weight: 60 Age: 8yrs 4mths 2wks

Story
Murphy is a lovable goofball with a heart as big as his paws! This 8 month old Boxer/Lab/Pit mix is full of playful energy, affection, and personality. He’s crate trained, housebroken (with supervision), and great with other dogs—though his bouncy style might be a bit much for smaller pups. Murphy is super smart and eager to please. He already knows sit, stay, and down, and walks well on a leash. He’d thrive with continued training and would do best in a home with older kids who can keep up with his fun-loving energy. This sweet, silly boy is neutered, healthy, and ready to meet his forever family. Think Murphy might be the one? Email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com to learn more or set up a meet-and-greet!

Story
Edward’s story is one of survival and strength. This handsome boy was found running loose, skin and bones, with a story that broke our hearts—someone said he had escaped a burning apartment, left behind like trash. While we couldn’t confirm every detail, one thing was clear: Edward had been neglected for far too long. Emaciated and alone, he still greeted us with the kind of gentle, hopeful spirit only the most resilient souls carry. Now safe and steadily gaining weight, Edward is showing us just how much love he has to give. He’s a year and a half old with the playful energy of a young dog, the loyalty of a best friend, and a heart that’s ready to heal. He enjoys walks, affection, and simply being close to people—something we’re pretty sure he missed out on for much of his early life. Edward would thrive in a home that can offer him patience, structure, and continued care as he continues his recovery journey. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants a second chance at being cherished, Edward is ready and waiting. To learn more about Edward or schedule a meet and greet, please email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com.
