Story
Amazing Ava is a friendly girl that is true blue loyal, kind, easy-to-train, and a gentle giant of a girl. She is fun to have around, calm, and a great partner for playing in the yard.  She would be a fabulous hiking friend and she is described as a great all around personality by her foster mom who certainly knows great dogs.  These are the stats and highlights that make her a great dog.  Amazing Ava is a gorgeous young girl that is just 18 months old, weighs 80 lbs, and is gloriously housetrained! If you are looking for a dog that is ALWAYS IN A GOOD MOOD….she is your girl.  She loves walks and hikes and is game for whatever adventure you want to start on.   Ava gets along well with other dogs and excellent with children.  We call this girl a Rottador, her mother is a Rottweiler and father is a labrador retriever.  Ava would make the best family dog you will ever want.   It is not the outside look of a dog but the inside sweetness and temperament of a dog that garners the brownie points in life.  She is a KEEPER!  She has been spayed, UTD on vaccinations and a very healthy girl.  If you are interested in adopting the best dog you could ever own then Amazing Ava is the girl!  Contact us at Critter Cavalry Rescue by emailing to ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 24, 2023, 2:00 pm

Story
Smiling Sadie is a beautiful representation of a 5 year old purebred Rottweiler! Her previous owner allowed her to roam freely, so she has had multiple litters of puppies and was recently spayed but when she was dropped off at the vet office, the owner never returned to get her.  This poor girl was abandoned and now we are trying to help her find a good home.  Smiling Sadie deserves a loving forever home where she can be spoiled rotten for the first time in her life!  What we know about this girl is that she a FUN DOG, goofy and she loves to play fetch the ball.  A home with children over 10 yrs is best due to her size and energy.  She has shown a ton of improvement with socialization while in foster care and can be considered for a home with other dogs that are large and share her energy level and play style.  A meet and greet will be required first.  No Cats or small animals should be in the home.  We just cannot say that we trust her with the small creatures.  If you are out of state we can adopt to you, but not if you have other pets or dogs.  She could easily be an ONLY dog but if she goes on a trial run in Tennessee, she is close enough for a return if things don't work out.  She is pretty good on a leash and almost housebroken.  She is a strong girl that is loving and just wants some attention. PLEASE EMAIL AT ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 24, 2023, 2:00 pm

Story
Uno is a 2.5 year old love bug in need of a new home. He currently resides with three little dogs that over time have formed a pack against him. They bark and nip at him . This has caused him to become anxious to the point he lashed out at one of them. Since it is better for him to be in a new situation than be secluded from the family, we’ve decided it’s best for him to be in a home free of small obnoxious dogs. Uno is a boxer, American bulldog, sporting dog and hound mix, with other breeds thrown in. He is about 90 lbs, neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He is housebroken and knows basic commands such as sit, here, leave it, and give. He loves to walk around with a stuffed toy in his mouth. If he could, he’d lay on the sofa all day. He is a gentleman in the house. He is not a barker. He is highly food motivated and easy to train. He will pull on a leash but does not pull if a harness is used. He is ok in a car on short trips but has gotten car sick in the past. He is terrified of thunder storms but will not destroy stuff. UNO’s ideal home would be by himself or with a calm dog his own size. A meet and greet is encouraged. He has done well with the cat but not sure about other cats. No small animals like rabbits as he has a prey drive . But Ok with caged birds. Older children are fine. He is too clumsy and food motivated to be around small children. Fenced yard is a plus but not mandatory. If you rent, you will need to have permission from landlord since he has bully breeds in his DNA. For an application go to www.homesfurhounds.org. He is located in Williamsburg, Va.
