Story
Dodge is a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd and Rottweiler mix adopted from Bedford Animal Shelter in Virginia at one year old. He is a friendly, affectionate dog who loves people and greets everyone like a friend. Dodge does well with children and cats and enjoys being part of a family. He can be selective with other dogs and benefits from slow, structured introductions, but he currently lives successfully with his canine sibling, Tater. Dodge will do best with an experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and continued training. He has a strong food drive and requires hydrated meals, even when using slow feeders. Snuffle mats are not recommended, as they tend to frustrate him. Dodge also experiences separation anxiety and requires a heavy-duty steel crate for safety when left alone. Dodge is a loving, loyal companion who enjoys lounging, cuddling, and being close to his people. In the right home, he will reward his adopter with deep affection and devotion.

Story
Fred was born in March 2025 so he is still a young dog who loves to run and play. He goes to the dog to scratch and let you know he needs to use bathroom. He loves to stay right beside me wherever I go and sleeps right beside me. He is very protective and lets you know if anyone has pulled into the driveway. He does extremely well with females. He is shy and uncertain around males. He was adopted by us 3 months ago and we don't now anything about his living conditions prior to being adopted. He does well with other large and small dogs. Unsure around cats. My child found out recently he is allergic to dogs is why we need to find him a new loving safe home. He knows certain commands like sit. He is eager to learn.

Story
Henry was found on the side of the road in pretty bad shape. We nursed him back to health. He's a really good boy that deserves a home of his own. He gets along with my pitbull but does not get along with my Pomeranian or cats. He is up to date on his shots and is microchipped. He is on monthly flea, tick & heartworm prevention and was fixed. He loves laying on the couch getting belly rubs and suckling on his favorite blanket. He loves car rides and laying on the deck working on his tan 😀

Story
Ollie is a young, active boy who loves to run around with other dogs. He enjoys attention from people. He gets along great with kids too. He would love an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. He wouldn't mind cleaning the floor under a highchair as his full-time job. He is being trained to walk on leash using a gentle leader. He is the best at it and would love to show you how well he does! He has visited our local assisted living center and just wanted to hug all of the residents and staff he met. He wants to please and is a good listener and a very sweet boy.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Coco is the sweetest of girls and is looking for her forever family. She is a little shy and prefers a calm environment. She loves other dogs and plays well with her 3 foster siblings. She loves a good game of chase, and she loves to chew on antlers and toys that squeak. Coco gets excited to go on car rides and is ready to go whenever you pick up the keys. She rides very well in the car. She has had some training and is great with 'sit' and 'down' and offering her paw. She is working on reinforcing the 'stay' and 'come' commands with her foster parents. She would do best with a fenced yard and supervision (at first anyhow). Her previous family reported a tendency to run off. Her foster family has seen no such behavior. Coco is housetrained and is a bit afraid of her crate - which is being worked on. She sleeps all night on her dog bed in the master bedroom. She is a cuddler and wants to be close to her people. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal companion, then Coco is the girl for you!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Petty, aka "Max" is a lovable young senior dog looking for a retired or work-at-home human/family to share the rest of his life with. He has been three-legged since aged two, has learned to adapt all his daily activities, and travels very well. After 3 months in foster care, Max has learned to play with other dogs! He still has limitations, but he loves to roll on the ground to gently wrestle with his foster siblings. Daily walking has given him additional strength in his legs. He can climb and run with the best of them. He can still slip if not careful, and he is not a fan of very cold weather. He has to be coaxed out the door or just walked on leash in sleet or cold rain. Temperatures above 50 will get him outdoors in any kind of weather. Max is such a social guy that he prefers to be with his humans or dogs rather than alone. He does not chew on anything but food, and is highly food motivated. He is also very human oriented, but followed the lead of his foster brother when he learned new house rules. He walks extremely well, but pulls on occasion when squirrels or rabbits are nearby. He walks fine with a Gentle Leader, but his gait is hopped, so his owner needs to be someone with good balance. He loves to be outdoors and walk on leash. A medium-sized fenced yard would be an additional bonus for this dog as he is an active and young senior.Having said that, Max would also be a wonderful companion dog and fellow couch potato at night. He seems to be much more Chocolate Lab than Red Doberman, with a strong lab lean, and would love to lie on the couch next to a human. He does not sit on laps, but would love to be on the bed sleeping next to his human. I would not expect him to break that habit easily (although he is trying). Max will also counter-surf if he can get away with it. Having lost his last owner, Max does have some minor anxiety issues over separation, and does not enjoy being crated. He is not destructive, though, and tolerates being confined to a room with music and his foster brother when the humans are gone from the house. He has no toileting issues doing his business outside, and sleeps very well at night. He knows many commands, and will give a bark when someone approaches the house or yard. He infrequently can give off an aura which can intimidate some less secure dogs, but really he is a loving goofball, and has done very well with dogs, kids and toddlers at the local Farmers' Market and adoption events. He loves meeting people! Max would love to have a stable home with an active adult/family to spend his senior years. He is very healthy, loves being groomed, and getting attention, affection, and slow but steady exercise. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Petty's adoption fee is $275. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41To see Max walking on leash, copy and paste into your browser:https://youtube.com/shorts/rCh7Zh14-Ng?feature=shareLOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN.
