For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Chico Needs a Foster or Adopter by 1/17/26 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Chico is currently in a Georgia shelter and must have a foster or adopter to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, he won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Chico Chico’s story is one of heartbreak and unfair circumstances. This 4-year-old mixed-breed boy did nothing wrong and is losing the only home he has ever known due to sudden housing restrictions beyond his family’s control. Chico was surrendered after the landlord in the trailer park where he lived gave residents just three days to remove their dogs or face eviction. Chico’s family loved him deeply and took excellent care of him. They tried everything they could in those three days to keep him, but ultimately had no other option. Despite this traumatic and confusing change, Chico remains a super sweet, calm, and gentle soul. He is an all-around good guy with an easygoing temperament and a loving heart. Chico is the kind of dog who fits right in — quiet, affectionate, and happy just being near his people. Chico is short, stocky, and thick, weighing about 50 pounds, but he does not appear large at all. He is already neutered and heartworm negative, making him ready to settle into a new home right away. He would do well in many types of households and is simply looking for a family who will give him the stability and love he lost through no fault of his own. Age: 4 years Gender: Male Weight: 50 lbs (short and stocky) Breed: Boxer/Bully Mix Spayed/Neutered: Yes Potty Trained: Likely Crate Trained: Likely Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: Likely yes Chico is calm, loving, and incredibly deserving of a soft place to land. Adopt a Pet from Mutt Life! Looking to add a furry friend to your family? At Mutt Life Rescue of Wisconsin, we have loving pets waiting for their forever homes. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Arthur Needs a Foster or Adopter by 1/17/26 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Arthur is currently at a high-intake kill shelter in Georgia, and must have a foster or adopter commitment to secure his spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home lined up, Arthur will not be able to make the trip north. Meet Arthur Arthur’s story is one of patience, resilience, and second chances. This 1–2 year old pittie mix arrived at the shelter as a stray, unsure of the world and understandably guarded. After being given time to decompress, Arthur revealed the dog he truly is: happy, playful, and full of love. Arthur is very social once he feels safe and truly shines around other dogs. He loves play groups and shows excellent canine social skills, making playtime the highlight of his day. He gets along great with other dogs, but is not a fan of cats. Arthur already knows “sit” and takes treats gently, showing his polite and thoughtful nature. His soft eyes and goofy personality make him easy to fall in love with. More than anything, Arthur is looking for a soft place to land, a person to trust, and a home where he can finally feel safe and relaxed. He will do best in a home willing to continue building his confidence and allow him time to settle in. Arthur is the kind of dog who will blossom with love, bring joy through play, and remind his people just how powerful second chances can be. Without a home commitment, she won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Mimi Mimi’s story is one of resilience and second chances. This 3-year-old pit bull terrier mix has been through far more than she ever deserved and is now ready for a new beginning filled with love and stability. Mimi was found as a stray by a local mail carrier, wearing a collar with a rabies tag. After efforts were made to locate her owner, it was discovered that he no longer wanted her. The shelter believes she may have been dumped after having a litter of puppies. Despite this heartbreaking start, Mimi has remained incredibly gentle, quiet, and loving. Shelter staff cannot say enough good things about her. She is described as calm, affectionate, and extremely easy to care for, making her a wonderful choice for a first-time dog owner. This beautiful brindle lovebug lives for cuddles and cozy moments and will happily curl up beside her person for quiet companionship. She is sweet, tender, and full of quiet devotion. Mimi is dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly, making her a great fit for many different homes. She is likely potty trained and crate trained, and does well on the leash. She currently weighs about 40 pounds and, while listed as a pit mix, appears more petite in person. She will be available to travel on Saturday, 1/17/26, but needs a foster or adopter to make that possible.
