Story
I adopted charcoal as a kitten. I got him his first check up at about seven weeks old and he got all his shots around four months old. I got him neutered, and I got him his vaccines and rabies shot at that time during his exam. The veterinarian said he was perfectly healthy around six months old. He started limping on his right leg. We thought it might’ve been a reaction to the vaccine and then we also noticed that his voice stayed a kitten. Voice charcoal is now two years old and he has alopecia and what appears to be some type of muscular dystrophy or some type of other congenital birth defect. however, he is still very healthy. He plays he eats and he is doing really well. I am a single mom and I don’t have enough money to get him checked out and see exactly what is wrong with him. My apartment got a new management company that does not allow pets. We are devastated and need to find charcoal forever, loving home.

Story
WE ARE DESPERATE! Luna is very loving! She will follow you around the house, sit on your lap while you watch TV or on the desk while you are working. She loves being around you and will want to sleep on your chest every night or anytime that you’re laying down. She loves fuzzy blankets and will still suckle either on you or the blankets. She loves to play - I call her a dog. If you’re walking back-and-forth, be prepared for her to pounce on your feet, roll on her back, wanting you to scratch her tummy and so she can grab your hand with her paws. She will nibble a little when she does this so be aware, but it’s all for play. She loves scratch posts and make sure that you have some! She loves to be pet, especially on her butt...this area seems to get dry sometimes so brushing her is important. She has the cutest face and most beautiful eyes and will talk to you when you’re petting her. She was adopted from Irvine animal care center from a foster family.

Story
One year ago, Biggie came wondering into my back yard. He didn't want to leave, and continued to meow at my door and sleep on the patio chair. I felt sorry for him so I called the owner who explained she had to move back to China and could no longer take care if him. I offered to take him in even though I knew nothing about cats. She immediately came to my home with his food, litter box and toys. Sadly, she claimed that he was only one years old and that he could easily be trained to be a fully indoor cat. When I took him to get neutered and shots, the vet said he was about 4-5 years old. We have done our best to keep him fully indoors, but he loves both worlds and we work full-time. He's smart and loving, but needs someone who has the time, knowledge and patience to help him be an indoor cat. Unfortunately, we are moving soon and I'm afraid he won't survive in another location. I'm desperate to find him a forever home where he is loved as much as I love him.

So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAA’s adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted. Story
Paolo is such a cool and sweet kitty. He greets everyone who enters the room and looks like he is saying, "What's up, human?" Paolo is friendly, affectionate, and wants to spend a lot of time with his favorite people. Paolo was returned to the rescue after his owner had to go to a retirement home. He gets along well with the other kitties here, but would benefit from a loving forever home to live out his days in peace and happiness. Paolo has been diagnosed with diabetes, but it has being treated and he is otherwise healthy and leading a normal life.  For more info, call or text DiAnna at 949-759-3646 or email at DiAnna@animalnetwork.org Paolo is being cared for by Community Animal Network, a non-profit organization founded by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin in 1996. C.A.N is a veterinary medical rescue that takes in stray cats and abandoned animals and helps rehabilitate them for life in forever homes. To donate to help cats like Paolo, use our PayPal link: www.PayPal.Me/CommunityAnimal Or Mail checks to: Community Animal Network P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA 92658 The founder of Community Animal Network, DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, is very particular about the quality of the animals, vitamins, proper diet and veterinary medical care. Feral kittens are tamed to "pet quality" and rescue cats that are shy are disclosed and termed, "rescue quality" with a lower placement fee. With all adoptions, DiAnna Pfaff-Martin gives valuable information about cat care in a one hour "feline pet-parenting consultation" to adopters. The most current information is made available about how to keep your cat healthy, pet foods, litters and how to make your cat more affectionate. The AVID microchip registration is included in the placement fee and the animals come with a 30 day heath commitment and return policy.        October 29, 2024, 7:02 am
