Oliver needs a home where he can get lots of attention and snuggles. He is a little nervous and anxious with new people and he can be a little jumpy but once he’s comfortable he will snuggle with you for hours.

Story
Meet Jett 🖤 Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Jett is a handsome gentleman with the stunning silver-blue coat and a heart of gold. His journey was tough, and he spent his first few years trying to survive on the streets of Houston. But now? You’d never know it from his sweet, affectionate nature. From the very first day he was safely trapped, Jett showed nothing but love and appreciate for his human rescuers. When he came into care, Jett was missing several teeth and suffering from painful infections in the ones he had left. After a full dental procedure, he is now happy, healthy, and toothless… and it hasn’t slowed him down one bit! In fact, he feels so much better and is thriving. Jett is also FIV+, but that simply means he needs to be an indoor-only kitty and receive routine veterinary care, just like any beloved pet. Cats with FIV can live long, wonderful, lives, and Jett is ready to do exactly that with a family of his own. Since being indoors, Jett’s favorite things are human companionship, cozy laps, and making the sweetest little “biscuits” with his paws. He has the tiniest, squeakiest meow that will melt your heart immediately! He is a very calm kitty and is content in most situations. He loves to explore new rooms and areas carefully, but usually only with the company of his foster mom! Jett isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. If you’re hoping for a devoted shadow, a warm lap companion, and a gentle soul who will adore you every single day, Jett is your guy. All he needs now is a safe, loving home to write the rest of his story. 💙 — Jett is a brave little guy, and will come right up to his humans for attention when he sees them. It’s very difficult to determine his age due to the wear and tear to his teeth from his early years, but we are estimating somewhere between 3-5 years of age (I know, that’s a really big range, but it’s the closest we can get!) Because of the color and texture of his coat, we believe he is a “street special” version of a Russian Blue — he’s definitely got the genes but they’re mixed! While he would be happy as can be in any loving home, we think Jett would really thrive with someone in a semi-calm household looking for a new best friend and lap warmer. He doesn’t really understand toys (yet!!) but he sure does understand love. Jett has lived in a colony with many other kitties his entire life, so he should do just fine with a buddy. Since FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, our toothless and friendly little man will not pose a risk to other kitties. He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health overall. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy and has perfect manners in the house. ---

Jett is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Story
Ollie was a kitten that was given to me by a close friend when I first started nursing school. She loves to cuddle but is easily intimidated by other animals. Several years ago she presented with feline calicivirus (FCV). When we brought her to the vet she tried supportive treatment but had already had began to lose some teeth and had respiratory symptoms like congestion and eye drainage. We have focused on comfort as she is now blind in her right eye and continues to have congestion. Despite this she is a loving cat that is still able to eat solid food and play. She loves taking naps and cuddling. I love this cat but it has become increasingly difficult in our household because we have three cats and a toddler who just turned 2. I really want someone who can adopt her and give her the love she deserves. Unfortunately our attempt to re-homing her is that with her right eye blindness she is more guarded with our son and other cats as well as our puppy.

Story
Meet Goose! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Goose and his Top Gun siblings, Rooster (available) and Maverick (adopted), are an adorable trio of tuxedo boys found under a bush in Houston. They were rescued and are safe and sound now -- they have adjusted very quickly to the good life indoors and are ready for a home of their own! Let's talk about Goose (aka Silly Goose). Goose is the most handsomest man with silky dark grey fur and a button nose that just melts your heart. He is still a very shy guy and tends to hide when he sees someone nearby, but once he is comfy and confident he absolutely loves pets. His favorite spot is on a window perch -- once he is up there he gladly accepts love and purrs like crazy. He also loves to snuggle with his humans at night. Because he's still a little shy, Goose needs an adopter who is experienced with cats, understands their personalities and quirks, and is willing to patiently help him fully come out of his shell. We try our best to socialize cats to a perfect temperament before adopting them out, but in Goose's case he is still a baby and we feel that he will do best with a lot of one-on-one attention and love that only a loving and stable home can provide. In his foster home he's one of about 10 kitties waiting to be adopted, so getting him to that next level of Confident Kitty will take longer here. This handsome fellow has so many good qualities and he is immediately lovable! Goose is obsessed with his foster siblings, especially a big adult cat named Harrison. Despite being less than half his size, Goose loves to sneak up on Harrison and pounce so he can start a chase around the house. He is a playful little guy and does great with other cats including his brother Rooster. When he's not hopping around after toys, Goose loves to curl up on his window perch to look outside and take a nap. He will often invite himself into an OCCUPIED window perch so he has a snuggle buddy... It's pretty cute. It's pretty obvious that he will become a fantastic little guy with just a little work, and we are doing a lot of practice snuggling and pets every day in the meantime! If you think you could give this gentleman the stress-free, happy home he craves, apply to adopt now! --- Goose is ~6 months old, in great health, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He does a great job of keeping his litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. He's never met a dog, but with slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think he could learn to love a new dog friend. Adopt Goose and maybe his brother Rooster or a foster sibling, and double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun! Information on why adopting two kittens is better for their short- and long-term health can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens --- The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Goose, Rooster, and Goose's best friend Harrison are currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home.
