Story
Meet Banjo! This 3 month old little guy is a ball of fun! He is very playful with lots of energy. He gets along well with the cats in his foster home and is a good kitty friend. Banjo came to us from Kentucky. He was found outside after he had been hit by a car when he was only around 7 weeks old. It was determined that he would need surgery and he had that surgery before he made his way to us. He has recovered so well and he loves nothing more than to show off his speed as he runs by! Banjo will need to be monitored as he continues to heal, but he should need no further medical intervention other than regular exams/vaccines. You can check out www.facebook.com/kittenville.il where his foster mom has documented his time in foster care. There are more videos and photos posted of Banjo posted there. Interested in meeting Banjo? All our cats are in foster homes as we do not have a facility where people can come and meet the cats at any time. The first step is to complete our online application at the link below. Once we have an approved application we can set up an appointment for you to meet him. Please copy/paste the link below into a browser window to get started. https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application The adoption fee for Banjo is $175 and includes includes neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new cat for your family. Although we make the best guess on the breed of our cats, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the cat. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 19, 2026, 3:54 pm

Story
Jude was a rescue that I took in because a friend needed it to be rehomed before she moved out of the country, but unfortunately I’m moving out of my apartment, and my next landlord does not permit cats in the building.

Story
*Not sure what breed* Walter was born on a farm, and I adopted him at 8 weeks old in October, so he is about 6 months old now. He is a big baby who absolutely loves to cuddle. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations and is scheduled to be neutered on February 24th. I have a toddler at home who sometimes grabs him or lays on him, and Walter has always been gentle and patient—there have never been any issues. He truly is a wonderful cat, and I would love to keep him. Unfortunately, my allergies have become severe, and for health reasons, it is no longer realistic for me to keep him. Walter needs a home where he will receive lots of love and attention. He was adopted with Scout (also listed), and they must stay together as they are now a bonded pair. They love to wrestle, play, and explore side by side
