Story
Meet Percy, a sweet and handsome, Russian Blue mix kitten boy, born in September, 2024. He is bonded with his sister, Peggy Sue! Percy is a gentle soul who takes his time to warm up to new people and situations, often hiding from loud noises as he seeks comfort in quieter spaces. Though he’s reserved at first, once he feels safe, Percy will reveal his playful side. When he builds his trust with his humans, he will come and sit on your lap for pets and belly rubs. Percy is looking for just the right family who will give him the time and patience to acclimate, so he gets comfortable in his new environment. Once he is comfortable, you will see how amazing he can be! He loves toys of all kinds and will play tirelessly, sometimes so much that he’s left panting from all the fun! Percy and Peggy Sue are always up for a fun wrestling match too. Often, Percy can be found following his sister around the house to explore and discover every inch of their foster home. Percy also loves a nice window where he can peer out and look at all the wondrous things happening outside. Percy shares an unbreakable bond with his sister, Peggy Sue, who is his guiding light. He relies on her for confidence and reassurance, and they are a perfect pair. Percy’s journey to trust is one of patience, but with the right amount of time and understanding, he’ll reward you with all the love and affection he has to give. Peggy Sue and Percy would be wonderful companions in a quieter home with adults only or older children. They would also be accepting of another fun, playful and friendly cat or kitten in the home. Come meet them, they’re ready for their next adventure and forever family! All cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Adoption fee is a minimum $110 per kitten donation to Feral Fixers. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens are adopted together, $175 for a pair. A brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! If you are interested in meeting and adopting one of our cats please email: gotfriendlies@gmail.com Our cats and kittens are in private foster homes and need a completed questionnaire before an appointment can be made to meet them. All of our cats/kittens are in foster homes throughout DuPage County. We consider adopters within a reasonable driving distance.

Story
Bloom is a long thin boy with soulful eyes. His favorite pastime is watching birds but he has playful moments too. Bloom loves boxes and cubby holes or dressers to hide in and take a nap. He had quite an adventure when he was left outside. The experience left him feeling cautious around people. He would prefer to go home with another kitty pal that would help him recover his confidence and trust. Bloom is looking for a foster-to-adopt family that would be willing to work with his shyness and help him get over his frequent kitty colds. The way it works is that you would foster Bloom for a year and during that time we will cover his medical expenses at the Animal clinic we work within Elgin. We know that after a year you will feel like that he is the most precious cat in the world and would not want to let this sweet boy go. At that point, you can adopt him and have him officially join your family. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Bloom will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks. You would need to keep him in one small room (preferably your bedroom) and spend time just sitting, talking, or even singing to him. If that is something you would like to do please fill the Bashful Cat match https://forms.gle/fRm4snuyfnSBaVgR9 It will help determine if you and our bashful kitty will have a great life together. If you are a match we will ask that you complete the standard Survey as a next step October 12, 2024, 12:16 am

Story
Holy cow, is Buddy a good-looking fella! This Russian Blue loves treats and does very well with his feline buddies. He's very timid around humans, so an experienced cat owner would be the best match for him. He'll need some patience as he learns to trust, but there's not a mean bone in his body. Once he knows he's safe and loved, he'll settle right in and rule the roost. This guy would prefer not to live with kids or dogs, but would be happy with a feline companion or on his own.
