Briar Rose is a beautiful 3-month old grey and white tuxedo gal, with a heavily eyelined gaze that she will direct toward you while anticipating what wonderful activity is next on the agenda - food, pets, play? Briar Rose loves to communicate with her people, most frequently meowing in a very deliberate and conversational way. She also loves to play with her siblings, and will very often pop up in the air with her limbs akimbo as she peek-a-boos one of her sisters or her brother. Briar Rose loves to be held and petted, with her purr-motor easily being set into high gear. She is a smart girl who will quickly respond to behavioral cues, especially when they involve food - she will start to move towards the food cabinet and then she will appear as if by magic! Briar Rose prefers having people and felines about, and is almost never found snoozing without being cuddled up with one or more of her siblings. She is used to a quiet yet active home with lots of interaction with her foster family of young adults, their parents, and their friends. She also gets along fabulously with the resident cats who range in age from young adult to senior. Briar Rose would be happiest with one of her siblings (sisters Brihanna, Bridget, Brita or brother Briggs) and/or other kitties in the home, and her people around often. cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Bloom is a long thin boy with soulful eyes. His favorite pastime is watching birds but he has playful moments too. Bloom loves boxes and cubby holes or dressers to hide in and take a nap. He had quite an adventure when he was left outside. The experience left him feeling cautious around people. He would prefer to go home with another kitty pal that would help him recover his confidence and trust. Bloom is looking for a foster-to-adopt family that would be willing to work with his shyness and help him get over his frequent kitty colds. The way it works is that you would foster Bloom for a year and during that time we will cover his medical expenses at the Animal clinic we work within Elgin. We know that after a year you will feel like that he is the most precious cat in the world and would not want to let this sweet boy go. At that point, you can adopt him and have him officially join your family. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Bloom will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks. You would need to keep him in one small room (preferably your bedroom) and spend time just sitting, talking, or even singing to him.
