Story
Meet Pickle-Boo! She is around 10 months old. She is a Russian Blue mis and while beautiful she is not hypoallergenic. Pickle Boo is a very sweet, playful, loving girl. She loves playing catch with spring toys, cuddling, and treats, and purring on her foster mom's lap. She is good with dogs, older cats, and older kids (she can get a little too enthusiastic with gentle love bites for little kids). Pickle Boo had some significant health problems as a kitten, namely, seizures and a diagnosis of epilepsy. She hasn't had a seizure since July 14, 2023, and has successfully weaned off all her medications. She is now a healthy, happy young cat who is looking for furever home.  Pickle-Boo is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites, and combo-tested negative for FIV/Leuk.  Her adoption fee is $125. For more information, please call or text 847-773-7639 or email info.stsff@gmail.com. Please note: We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within 3 days of applying. ##1952410##

Story
Bloom is a long thin boy with soulful eyes. His favorite pastime is watching birds but he has playful moments too. Bloom loves boxes and cubby holes or dressers to hide in and take a nap. He had quite an adventure when he was left outside. The experience left him feeling cautious around people. He would prefer to go home with another kitty pal that would help him recover his confidence and trust. Bloom is looking for a foster-to-adopt family that would be willing to work with his shyness and help him get over his frequent kitty colds. The way it works is that you would foster Bloom for a year and during that time we will cover his medical expenses at the Animal clinic we work within Elgin. We know that after a year you will feel like that he is the most precious cat in the world and would not want to let this sweet boy go. At that point, you can adopt him and have him officially join your family. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Bloom will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks. You would need to keep him in one small room (preferably your bedroom) and spend time just sitting, talking, or even singing to him. If that is something you would like to do please fill the Bashful Cat match https://forms.gle/fRm4snuyfnSBaVgR9 It will help determine if you and our bashful kitty will have a great life together. If you are a match we will ask that you complete the standard Survey as a next step April 10, 2024, 12:00 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cleft Palate & FIV+ Mariska is a quiet gentle soul. She has been able to overcome some big obstacles in her short life. She is quiet and calm, only giving little meows when she sees the wet food coming.  Her eyes are like windows into her past as she makes direct eye contact with you.  You can see the slightly skeptical look that comes from a life hard lived. Once you gain her trust she is very affectionate with an amazing purr that speaks louder than words about how much she appreciates the gentle touch. She would prefer a quieter home with a loving adopter who will continue to smoother her in the affection she craves. Upon first glance you will notice Mariska is missing many of her front teeth and has a malformed upper lip. Our vets believe she may have a congenital abnormality such as a cleft palate, but it may also be an older facial injury. She has adapted quite well and is able to eat/drink without issue, but she does so slowly and thus requires separate feedings to ensure she gets proper nutrition. Mariska is also FIV positive and requires a home where she can be the one-and-only or can join other FIV positive cats (check out Oreo's profile!). You can read more about FIV here: https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/infectious-parasitic/c_ct_feline_immunodeficiency_virus_infection *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications.
