I’m a total lap cat who lives for cuddles, connection, and being part of your daily routine. My story started with a bit of fate. I got my name because my rescuers first met me as they walked out of a sushi restaurant. I had likely been dumped but was still brimming with trust and love, so I immediately began weaving through their legs to ask for affection – as if I already knew that I belonged to them. Then I hopped right into their car the moment they opened the door — no hesitation, just hoping I wouldn’t be left behind again. Talk about taking the express train to find my furever home . . . When they picked me up inside their car, I started purring and making biscuits immediately — I knew that I was safe. Back then I was tiny, underweight, and a little scruffy, but look at me now! I’ve blossomed into a handsome boy with a soft coat and an even softer heart. Blue is a deaf female Russian Blue grey cat with a silky coat, who has learned to trust and enjoy human company. She is living with a foster who also owns another cat and a small dog. Found at an apartment complex in Seabrook, she has adapted well to indoor living, and is now spayed, microchipped and vaccinated (including FeLV). Blue can be picked up and petted, though is a bit cautious of strangers until familiar with their smell or with reassurance. Blue uses her sight, smell, and feel as her primary senses, and it isn't immediately evident that she is deaf. She loves treats and comes running when she senses it is dinnertime.
