meet Chipper! Chipper is a hound rescue alum who we rescued and treated for heartworm several years ago as a stray. His family asked us to help find him a new home due to developing a pet allergy. Chipper is around 10 years old now and has brought much joy to his foster home! His favorite thing is to be a lap dog - we love a senior snuggle hound! Chipper is also great with kids, dogs, and other cats. He is potty trained, sleeps through the night, and walks great on the leash. His bloodwork shows that he is in good health. He does have respiratory allergies that we are treating. He also lost part of his ear a while ago in a coyote attack but is healed now. Poor guy! Chipper has been on a long journey, and we are so excited for him to find the perfect home for his golden years.

Rocket is a soft, soulful companion with a sweet nature that shines a little brighter every day. With his warm tan coat, adorable white markings, and expressive eyes, he has a way of quietly stealing hearts—especially when he closes his eyes in pure contentment during a good petting session. He’s a gentle boy who enjoys the simple things: napping, snuggling up with his favorite stuffies, and spending time close to his people. His sleepover host shared that he’s incredibly sweet and loves a calm, cozy environment where he can relax and feel safe. Whether he’s lounging beside you in the backyard or curling up for a nap, Rocket is happiest just being near. Rocket is learning to play and has started to enjoy games like fetch, especially with a tennis ball or his beloved Lamb Chop toy. He’s also shown that he can do well meeting other dogs and handled a cat introduction just fine, taking it all in stride. While the shelter environment can feel a bit overwhelming at first, Rocket is already showing how much he blossoms with a little time, patience, and kindness. He’s a gentle companion who appreciates a steady routine and a home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing dog who will happily share quiet moments and gentle affection, Rocket may be the perfect match.
