#A5787371 Val is a 3-year-old, 29 lb neutered male Schipperke mix with a gentle, sensitive soul. Found as a stray and terribly matted, this poor little guy has been through a lot already. So, it’s understandable that he is fearful in the shelter. Val needs someone willing to go slow and let him build trust at his own pace. 🖤 Think of him like a cat — give him space and let him come to you. Once Val feels safe, he seeks affection and shows his sweet side. He's calm, housebroken, and walks nicely on a leash. An experienced, adults-only home where he can decompress would be perfect for this deserving boy. Val had a spa day and all those awful mats were removed. Prince Leo is a 2-year-old, 18-pound Pom mix who is ready for his second chance. He was found as a stray in Bakersfield with three other dogs. Sadly, this area has become a common dumping ground for unwanted dogs. A good samaritan found them, trapped them, and reached out to us for help. Shelter Hope took in all four. Prince Leo is a nervous boy around humans, but he is very gentle and sweet. Once he feels at ease, he’ll come forward to sniff you or accept treats. His personality truly shines around other dogs, where he feels most confident, and he can become anxious if left alone without them. He loves exploring, relaxing in his bed, and following around his doggie friends. Before coming to us, he spent over a year in a home and is still slowly coming out of his shell. Prince Leo is fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. He has been through a lot, and we know there is a home out there for him that will give him the love, time, and patience he deserves. ------- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! He is about 9 yrs old and would make a great lap dog. He likes his food, his soft bed and takes treats from you ever so gently. Rusty is calm and would flourish in a home where he can sit on your lap and follow you around. He is good riding in the car and good walking on leash. He would be ok as an only dog or with other gentle dogs. He is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots.
