Jett's Story
Jett came into rescue from a troubling situation—he arrived with diapers duct-taped onto him. Since then, his foster family has been busy showing him that not all humans are bad, and that people can be kind, gentle, and safe. Jett is learning that lesson one day at a time, and now he's ready for a family of his own to continue the journey with him.
Personality
Jett is an affectionate little guy who can be a bit cautious at first, so he appreciates a patient approach while he gets to know you. He also has some adorable quirks! When someone leaves or comes home—or when it's time to head out to the backyard to play with the other dogs—Jett shows his excitement by running around in happy circles.
At Home
Jett is a well-mannered houseguest. When he's left out of his kennel while his foster family is away, he doesn't get into anything. He doesn't mind the kennel once he's inside, though it takes a few treats to convince him to go in. He's not food aggressive and gets along well with other dogs, especially small dogs his size. He does still need some continued work on potty training, so a little consistency and patience will go a long way.
Jett's Ideal Home
Jett would thrive with a patient, loving family who will give him time to build trust and keep up with his potty training. A home with a small canine buddy could be a great fit, and if you have cats, a slow introduction is a must since we don't yet know how he does with them. In return, you'll get a loyal, affectionate companion who's ready to show you just how much he's grown.
