Story
Diamond Dog Alert - Meet Gator Gator has officially been named a Diamond Dog as of 05/04/26, meaning he has been patiently waiting over 90 days for a family to call his own. Because of that, his adoption fee has been reduced to $75 to help him finally get the fresh start he deserves. Gator is an approximately 1.5-year-old Shiba Inu/Shepherd mix weighing around 40 pounds. He came to the Rockwall Adoption Center with his brother, Shrimp, after their family could no longer care for them. While that chapter of his life has closed, Gator is ready to begin a much brighter one. He is a friendly, social dog who enjoys being around people and does well with other dogs. Gator is still building confidence in new situations, but he continues to make steady progress every day. He is currently working on leash training and improving with consistency and positive reinforcement. With patience and guidance, Gator has all the potential to grow into a loyal, confident, and well-rounded companion. Gator is neutered, microchipped, current on rabies and DHLPP vaccinations, and heartworm negative. If you are looking for a sweet dog you can help grow and thrive, Gator may be the perfect fit. Apply to adopt Gator at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ . Gator has been waiting and is ready to take the next step with the right family. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm.
