IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Rudy! Rudy is about 7 years old and weighs around 26 pounds. Rudy looks like a poodle (just a guess). Rudy is a sweet boy who was surrendered by his owner along with his "brother" Reese when their owner could no longer care for them due to health reasons. Rudy and Reese are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. Rudy and Reese are a bit shy at first, but once they warm-up they are sweet, gentle and loving boys. The are good with other dogs too. Rudy is more adventurous and loves to be outside. Rudy and Reese are looking for a forever home where someone is around a good portion of the day. Rudy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped. The Adoption Fee for both dogs together is $600.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Current Location: Alexandria, VA Meet Dina: A Soft-Hearted Doodle Mix Ready to Bond Deeply with You Dina is a 3 year old, 60 pound doodle mix with a soft heart and an even softer desire to bond deeply with her person. Once she decides you're her human, she becomes a total Velcro dog, happy to follow you around, lean in for affection, and soak up every bit of love you offer. Smart and Well-Trained Dina is both crate trained and potty trained, and she already knows an impressive list of cues: sit, paw, crate, leave it, place, gentle, and wait. She's treat motivated, eager to learn, and already improving her leash manners. She's working on loose leash walking, recall, and polite doorway behavior, showing just how capable and willing she is to be the best companion she can be. Joyful Explorer Outdoors, Dina is a joyful explorer who loves zoomies, crunching icy snow chunks, and trotting around the yard, even when the ground is slippery. She's resilient, curious, and always ready for the next adventure. She's been appropriate with other dogs she's met and shows curiosity, but no reactivity, toward wildlife like birds and squirrels. Building Trust Dina can be cautious with new people. But with patience, calm energy, and a few tossed treats, she warms up beautifully, sometimes within minutes. Once she realizes someone is safe, she transforms into a snuggly, affectionate companion who paws gently for more pets. Watching her personality blossom is one of the most rewarding experiences you'll have. Best Home Fit This sweet girl thrives with structure, reassurance, and a person who understands that confidence takes time. In return, she'll offer unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and the joy of watching her grow into the confident, loving companion she's meant to be. If you're looking for a loving, devoted companion who just wants to feel safe and cherished, Dina may be your perfect match. Apply today!
