EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM 02/26/24Name: TazzAnimal ID: A819292Age: 1 year 4 monthsWeight: 62.8 lbs.About: Tazz is a bouncy young boy who, at just about a year and 4 months old, should be bouncing around a home of his own rather than the walls of a kennel. Tazz is on an Emergency Placement Deadline due to kennel census being high. He will need to find placement either with a foster or an adopter through PACC before 3pm 02/26/24. Tazz does have two minor bites on his record, he is getting overstimulated being here in the stressful kennels, so he will need a home that is willing to work with him on some basic training and activities to keep him active and learning. Tazz gets along with dogs his size and larger but will need a home that doesn’t have small animals, he is prey driven and will chase after cats. Tazz spent several weeks in foster home where he was housebroken and crate trained. His fosters described him as an energetic, loyal and playful pup who loves toys. Another foster said that Tazz is friendly and loves people. They said that he loves to play and has lots of energy- his favorite toys were a Kong tire and a squeaky rope toy. He was also an excellent cuddle buddy. On a field trip away from the shelter Tazz showed that he’s an excellent hiking buddy- he did well in the car, enjoyed playing in the water, and has plenty of energy for adventuring.Tazz shares his kennel with another resident PACC dog and has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit and is looking for a home without cats.

Super sweet, scared Malibu would like to be not in the shelter. She was surrendered to PACC for not eating and just gave birth days prior. She is confused and depressed being separated from her family! Will you give her a home? She is possibly valley fever and obviously needs cherry eye repair surgery but otherwise is normal. She has been good with other dogs and kids per the owner and is very affectionate/playful!

If you’re looking for a mellow friend who will appreciate quiet days at home and curling up on the couch with you, look no further! Here’s what her volunteer friends have said about her:“Quan was a very good walking partner today- she is a nice brisk walker. She is very affectionate and sweet, sits for treats and takes them gently, leans in for pettings. Very nice and well-behaved girl.” “Quan is a sweet girl. Nice loose leash walking from the beginning and took no notice of other passing dogs. We enjoyed a stroll around the park. She sat for me and took treats gently. Such a nice gal!”She has spent time in foster care and her fosters state: She is good with Large and Small dogs! She is very mellow and easy! SHe is house trained and loves her doggy bed. Her foster describes her as `KISSABLE, LOVING, CUDDLY, COUCH POTATO`•Do you have any funny stories or other information you would like to share about your foster? SHE WILL PUT HER PAW UP TO GET YOU TO COME OVER TO HER OR PET HER, LIKE SHE IS WAVING TO YOU, IT`S VERY CUTE, SHE LOVES BELLY RUBS AND ALWAYS WANTS THEM, SHE ALSO LOVES TO GIVE KISSESQuan has some allergies that come and go, so needs a family committed to keeping her healthy and comfortable long term. Story
Dipper sounds like a wonderful dog with a lot of potential for a loving home. His progress with doorways and leash walking shows that he`s trainable and adaptable. It`s great that he responds well to positive reinforcement and has learned to walk calmly on a leash. His ability to stay on the right side and sit when you stop walking demonstrates good leash manners. His responsiveness to his name and willingness to go to his crate when asked indicates he`s attentive and cooperative. Being crate trained is a valuable skill that can help him feel secure in his environment.Given his need for time and a safe space to feel comfortable, it`s important for potential adopters to understand the importance of patience and providing a nurturing environment. Having other dogs in the home can provide him with companionship and guidance as he continues to adjust. It`s also wise to consider his need for a home without small children, as it`s essential to ensure a safe and stress-free environment for both Dipper and any children in the household.Overall, Dipper sounds like a loyal and loving companion who has a lot to offer to the right family willing to provide him with the care and attention he deserves.

Story
Guardian hasn’t had an easy past and was brought to PACC after he was found on an illegal tie out with no food or water. Now he’s looking forward to a much brighter future with a family who will love and dote on him! Could you be his person?? Guardian is a young boy who has a ton of love to give! He recently spent a bit of time in a foster home- here’s what we learned:- Guardian did well with older kids and was energetic but sweet - He was housebroken- He was crate trained (though he does need a bit of coaxing to enter)- He does best in his crate if left home alone and slept in his crate at night- He loves stuffed animals- He was polite on leash “Guardian is so sweet and loving. He definitely needs someone who can let him run his energy off. He would do best around older children. He loves playing in the pool and with a soccer ball. He loves to be around people and will happily greet you when you come home or enter a room. We only brought him back because our own dog was not accepting of him.” Here’s what just a few of his MANY volunteer fans have said:“I became very fond of this guy a while ago. He is such a great dog. He’s a very nice walker, he’s affectionate, playful, he’s just the whole package. I had him in a yard more recently and learned that he loves getting in the pool and splashing in the water. It’s so heartwarming to see him enjoy himself. Guardian is one of my faves to spend time with. Just a happy easy guy to be with. Super special hidden gem.”“Another great walk with Guardian! He wasn`t as interested in playing ball this time (maybe too hot?). He was relaxed in the play yard and the most adorable thing was how affectionate he was!! He frequently buried his face against my lap, rubbing against me to ask for pets. He’s comfortable with pets all over his body-head, ears, shoulders, etc. Love this friendly guy!”“I met the gorgeous and gallant Guardian today! He was excited for his walk and was eager to get to the play yard. We played fetch and he would bring the ball right over each time! He is sweet and affectionate, leaning his shoulders against my legs when I pet him. He’s a really fun dog who seems like a great fit for an active and attentive home. I gave him extra butt scratches, which prompted him to stand between my feet, looking up at me with a big smile on his handsome face. Such a great dog.”“Guardian is a smart boy who is a favorite of mine. He loves the pla
