Story
What has wrinkles for days, perky radar ears, and resembles a pygmy hippopotamus? It’s Tina!! Forget about getting a hippopotamus for Christmas, you can have one today!! All you have to do is head to PACC and add this sweet lady to your menagerie. Tina is affectionate, friendly, and we have a feeling that she’d appreciate a comfy spot to nap. In fact, someone recently put a huge fluffy bed in her kennel, and Tina can usually be found curled up in it like a happy little croissant. Everyone who meets Tina falls in love with her, and we promise that you will too- she’s simply irresistible! Tina shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful, social, and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She loves snacks almost as much as she loves people and will sit and offer her paw for some tasty vittles. Do not- I repeat, do not, miss out on this perfect girl! Ask to meet Tina today!

EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 3PM 02/26/24Name: TazzAnimal ID: A819292Age: 1 year 4 monthsWeight: 62.8 lbs.About: Tazz is a bouncy young boy who, at just about a year and 4 months old, should be bouncing around a home of his own rather than the walls of a kennel. Tazz is on an Emergency Placement Deadline due to kennel census being high. He will need to find placement either with a foster or an adopter through PACC before 3pm 02/26/24. Tazz does have two minor bites on his record, he is getting overstimulated being here in the stressful kennels, so he will need a home that is willing to work with him on some basic training and activities to keep him active and learning. Tazz gets along with dogs his size and larger but will need a home that doesn’t have small animals, he is prey driven and will chase after cats. Tazz spent several weeks in foster home where he was housebroken and crate trained. His fosters described him as an energetic, loyal and playful pup who loves toys. Another foster said that Tazz is friendly and loves people. They said that he loves to play and has lots of energy- his favorite toys were a Kong tire and a squeaky rope toy. He was also an excellent cuddle buddy. On a field trip away from the shelter Tazz showed that he’s an excellent hiking buddy- he did well in the car, enjoyed playing in the water, and has plenty of energy for adventuring.Tazz shares his kennel with another resident PACC dog and has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit and is looking for a home without cats.

Super sweet, scared Malibu would like to be not in the shelter. She was surrendered to PACC for not eating and just gave birth days prior. She is confused and depressed being separated from her family! Will you give her a home? She is possibly valley fever and obviously needs cherry eye repair surgery but otherwise is normal. She has been good with other dogs and kids per the owner and is very affectionate/playful!

Story
Quan is a perfect potato- shaped lady with a lovely, calm, and sweet personality. If you’re looking for a mellow friend who will appreciate quiet days at home and curling up on the couch with you, look no further! Here’s what her volunteer friends have said about her:“Quan was a very good walking partner today- she is a nice brisk walker. She is very affectionate and sweet, sits for treats and takes them gently, leans in for pettings. Very nice and well-behaved girl.” “Quan is a sweet girl. Nice loose leash walking from the beginning and took no notice of other passing dogs. We enjoyed a stroll around the park. She sat for me and took treats gently. Such a nice gal!”Quan has some allergies that come and go, so needs a family committed to keeping her healthy and comfortable long term. She shares her kennel with another easygoing PACC pup and is ready to head home with you today! Ask to meet Quan!!

Story
Dipper sounds like a wonderful dog with a lot of potential for a loving home. His progress with doorways and leash walking shows that he`s trainable and adaptable. It`s great that he responds well to positive reinforcement and has learned to walk calmly on a leash. His ability to stay on the right side and sit when you stop walking demonstrates good leash manners. His responsiveness to his name and willingness to go to his crate when asked indicates he`s attentive and cooperative. Being crate trained is a valuable skill that can help him feel secure in his environment.Given his need for time and a safe space to feel comfortable, it`s important for potential adopters to understand the importance of patience and providing a nurturing environment. Having other dogs in the home can provide him with companionship and guidance as he continues to adjust. It`s also wise to consider his need for a home without small children, as it`s essential to ensure a safe and stress-free environment for both Dipper and any children in the household.Overall, Dipper sounds like a loyal and loving companion who has a lot to offer to the right family willing to provide him with the care and attention he deserves.
